  2. Completely random but do any of you guys know a stocky bald guy around 50ish named Dan who used to work for Vine Line? He lives in Nola now and gives some inside info on occassion. Just curious.
  3. Yeah, that's pretty much exactly how I feel. Brees was also a bit off this year and I don't know if that is a combination of poor line play or the fact that he is getting older. I think it's probably both. I hate to say it but I think our window with Brees is very close to closing. That's what pisses me off so much about the BountyGate garbage. It took a prime year away from our Brees window. I don't know if it was Graham acting out because he was pissed about being franchised or what, but his effort this year definitely sucked. You didn't see the same emotion from him this year that you had seen in the past. Could it be that after Graham got paid, he lost his hunger? It wouldn't be the first time that has happened with a player. Yes. He has been a basketball player most of his life, remember. He has gotten the reputation for being easier to unhinge when he gets popped, and maybe after his payday he's reevaluated how much he enjoys football. It came pretty easy for him his first two seasons. He has to adjust.

We actually have some pretty decent talk radio guys down here (3-6 pm on WTIX 106.1 if you want to stream) who disected the team pretty well today. They seem to think that Rob Ryan will be back next year but the roster will have some big changes. They pointed out that J Graham hasn't been the same since that illegal hit by Everett Ghoulson in the TB game last year and he's been scared of contact since. Also, you know how many total tackles Cam Jordan has had the last 2 games? ONE. Perhaps a coincidence, but the guys we've awarded new big contracts recently (J Evans, Jordan, Graham, Gallette) have been the most disappointing. As for Drew, I do think he is slipping a bit, but a decent line he'd be fine. He is barely 5' 11" after all.
  5. Seriously, how do you feel about them not making the playoffs? The consensus walking out of the Dome was that they are better off with a top 10 pick than losing in the 1st round. I really am about ready to trade Jimmy Graham. His effort was abysmal this season. We could use the cap space and picks for the OL and a CB, not that I trust this regime to draft well. Heads had better roll soon with this roster.
  6. Anthony Davis.
  7. Carr is pretty good.
  8. Good, they don't deserve to go to the playoffs. The effort today was horrendous. I'd rather have a top ten pick than lose in the 1st round. Blow up the line besides Armstead.
  9. Can we make this the group consensus most absurd post of the night? Pretty please Why? Gruden is terrible. Cutler is bad. Drew Brees has been efficient and as he goes, the Saints go this year. Saying this is the best NO has looked in awhile isn't some great leap. You have to consider the competition. The Bears have flatlined. Their LBs are a bunch of backups, the secondary is probably the worst in the league. The offensive line has been dreadful for weeks. The coaches are killing the QB in the media and issuing tearful apologies 2 days later. The team is a complete mess, the players have likely turned on the coach, the QB hates his offensive coordinator, the coach is just sitting there waiting for the axe. You should be concerned that your only winning by 16 My concerns over the Saints goes much deeper than winning against anyone by only 16. We have [expletive] the bed vs terrible competetion all year. You guys may be the only team in the NFL who will have more of a blowup in the offseason than the Saints.

  11. Most hated? No. Left a terrible taste in my mouth? Oh yeah. That team in retrospect was the beginning of the end though for the lovable losers moniker. Things just seemed uglier after that.
  12. Jon Gruden being a terrible announcer and Cutler being a bad QB can both be true. You guys caught the Saints playing well tonight. Don't forget they destroyed the Packers earlier this year. Best they've looked since at Carolina.
  13. These two teams are awful. Comedy of errors, we are just slightly less awful than the Bears. And yes, the Saints are starting 2 guys from the practice squad in their secondary tonight.
  14. The good news for the Saints is that Robinson, Pierre Thomas and Ingram are all healthy. The bad news is that they are starting some guy named Frederick at CB that no one has ever heard of and our LT is out. Jimmy Graham might get benched tonight, or maybe come in at halftime and get 200 yds receiving in the 2nd half.
  15. Way to bring a room down. We needed that.
  16. Lol, did they try to explain that? Saw this live. The host (Jay Whatshisname) was laughing and almost apologetic for having to sort through that graphic.
  17. If Eddie Vedder were to come to symbolize the Cubs, we would be mired in steady if unremarkable 88 win seasons for the next 15 years and be proclaimed one of greatest teams of the century. That said nocode, thank you for your work.
  18. Substitute either of those names with Soler? I wouldn't.
  19. Wondering if the Plan B after signing Lester was a predetermined idea of the FO as much as a demand from Lester before signing a contract. Probably the latter, in which case, thank you Scott Boras? 8-[
  20. 1. How great would it be to go into next season with Arrieta, Hammel and Henricks/Grimm/Turner on the backend of the rotation? 2. RIP #PTR jokes, please.
  21. Olnley on BBTN just said Theo says Cubs are "going for it" this year, window has accelarated by 2-3 years. Maybe going after more pitching (Shields, Zimmerman) or an Upton. Theo is definitely not finished this offseason.
  22. [expletive] em man. This is nerdtacular, but I also have been drinking.
  23. FWIW, Olnley was just on ESPN saying that a deal is imminent with the Dodgers, Red Sox, Cubs and Giants in the running. He seemed to linger on the Giants' chances a bit more than anyone else.
  24. How much could the payroll be increased in a 24-36 hour span? Nice.
