  1. Well, here's how I see things this morning: S-Curve: 1. Kansas - Big 12 2. Villanova 3. Michigan State (Big Ten) 4. North Carolina - ACC 5. Virginia 6. Oklahoma 7. Oregon - Pac 12 8. West Virginia 9. Xavier 10. Indiana 11. Kentucky (SEC) 12. Miami FL 13. Purdue 14. Utah 15. Maryland 16. Texas A&M 17. Iowa St. 18. Arizona 19. California 20. Duke 21. Baylor 22. Notre Dame 23. Seton Hall - Big East 24. Gonzaga - West Coast 25. Iowa 26. Vandy 27. Wichita St. 28. Connecticut (American) 29. Butler 30. Texas 31. St. Mary's 32. Cincinnati 33. Pittsburgh 34. Wisconsin 35. VCU (Atlantic 10) 36. Texas Tech 37. Dayton 38. St. Joseph's 39. San Diego State 40. USC 41. Michigan 42. Providence 43. Florida 44. Syracuse 45. South Carolina 46. Yale - Ivy 47. Stephen F Austin - Southland 48. Sun Belt (Arkansas LR) 49. Hawaii - Big West 50. UNC Wilmington - Colonial 51. South Dakota State - Summit 52. Northern Iowa - Missouri Valley 53. Chattanooga - Southern 54. Fresno State - MWC 55. Stony Brook - America East 56. Iona - MAAC 57. UNC Asheville - Big South 58. Buffalo - MAC 59. Middle Tennessee - CUSA 60. Weber State - Big Sky 61. Cal State Bakersfield - WAC 62. Green Bay - Horizon 63. Florida-Gulf Coast - A-Sun 64. Hampton - MEAC 65. Austin Peay - OVC 66. Southern - SWAC 67. Fairleigh Dickinson - NEC 68. Holy Cross - Patriot
  2. CSU Bakersfield won the WAC (who?), and Hawaii won the Big West.
  3. Oregon wins the Pac-12. UNC wins the ACC. I'm tempted to flip Virginia and UNC in the S-Curve, and I'm also tempted to bump Oregon up a bit for their impressive weekend.
  4. Buffalo wins the MAC on a 3 pointer with 2 seconds left. Akron is a team I could see the real committee putting into the field. Because RPI is dumb. Reasons RPI is dumb: Dayton has an RPI of 19. Michigan State has an RPI of 14. Akron has an RPI of 29, St. Bonaventure 30, South Dakota State 31, Notre Dame 33.
  5. Kansas wins the Big 12. Akron and Buffalo are tied with 30 seconds to play in the MAC final.
  6. even that wouldn't shock me...especially if he has a nasty W-L record, which he easily could Hell, many people forget because of his terrible second half, but Hammel was almost an all star last year, and probably should have been.
  7. Kyle Hendricks will be an All-Star.
  8. Southern wins the SWAC. Fresno State wins the Mountain West, meaning a bid is stolen.
  9. Seton Hall wins the Big East. Villanova is still a 1 seed, and Seton Hall is still a 6 seed.
  10. B1G final will be Purdue-MSU, so no bid thievery there either.
  11. The SEC final will be UK-Texas A&M...and those could very well be the only two teams in the tournament from the SEC this year. We also have Florida/Vandy, but both are on the bubble.
  12. Hampton wins the NEC. Memphis looks to be headed to the American final against UConn. A-10 final will be St. Joe's-VCU, both teams currently in the field. San Diego State trails by 3 to Fresno State at the half.
  13. The entire starting 9 players for the Cubs will be all-stars. They will score 22 runs in the 2 innings they all play together, and the NL will win 22-5 after Arrieta pitches two scoreless innings and Wainwright gives up 5 runs in 1/3 of an inning resulting in a blown out elbow that takes him out of the rest of the season, and the Cubs win the World Series in 4 so the result doesn't matter anyway.
  14. Please be talking about Paul Sullivan.
  15. It would appear so. Good catch.
  16. Middle Tennessee got the CUSA bid.
  17. HOW CONVENIENT
  18. State of the bracket-- Current S-Curve (1-6 seeds, 12-16 seeds): 1. Kansas (Big 12) 2. Villanova (Big East) 3. Virginia (ACC) 4. Michigan State (Big Ten) 5. North Carolina 6. Oklahoma 7. West Virginia 8. Xavier 9. Indiana 10. Kentucky (SEC) 11. Miami FL 12. Oregon (Pac 12) 13. Purdue 14. Arizona 15. Iowa St. 16. Maryland 17. Texas A&M 18. Utah 19. California 20. Duke 21. Baylor 22. Notre Dame 23. Seton Hall 24. Gonzaga - West Coast ... 49. Sun Belt (Arkansas LR) 50. Big West (Hawaii) 51. UNC Wilmington - Colonial 52. South Dakota State - Summit 53. Northern Iowa - Missouri Valley 54. MAC (Akron) 55. Chattanooga - Southern 56. America East (Stony Brook) 57. Conference USA (Old Dominion) 58. Iona - MAAC 59. WAC (New Mexico State) 60. UNC Asheville - Big South 61. Big Sky (Weber State) 62. Green Bay - Horizon 63. Florida-Gulf Coast - A-Sun 64. SWAC (Texas Southern) 65. Austin Peay - OVC 66. Mid-Eastern (Hampton) 67. Fairleigh Dickinson - NEC 68. Holy Cross - Patriot 7-10 seeds (safely in, need a ranking): Butler Cincinnati Connecticut (American) Florida Iowa Pitt San Diego State (Mountain West) St. Mary's Syracuse Texas Texas Tech VCU (Atlantic 10) Vandy Wichita St. Wisconsin Yale - Ivy 11/play-ins and 12s: Colorado Dayton Houston Providence St. Joseph's South Carolina SF Austin (Southland) USC Currently outside, looking in: Clemson Florida State Michigan Mississippi Monmouth Oregon State Valpo Virginia Tech Two more lists for the committee: 1. Rank the 7-10 seeds 2. Rank the last 8 in and the first 8 out right now, see if everyone still agrees.
  19. For today: 1) Rank the next 16 in the list 2) Rank the last 16 remaining teams 3) Place top 4 teams in pods 1. Kansas (Big 12) - Oklahoma City, OK; Midwest Regional (Chicago) 2. Villanova (Big East) - Brooklyn, NY; East Regional (Philadelphia) 3. Virginia (ACC) - Raleigh, NC; South Regional (Louisville) 4. Michigan State (Big Ten) - St. Louis, MO; West Regional (Anaheim) 5. North Carolina - Raleigh, NC; 6. Oklahoma - Oklahoma City, OK; 7. West Virginia - Brooklyn, NY; 8. Xavier - St. Louis, MO; 9. Indiana - Des Moines, IA; 10. Kentucky (SEC) - Des Moines, IA; 11. Miami FL - Providence, RI; 12. Oregon (Pac 12) - Spokane, WA; 13. Purdue - Providence, RI; 14. Arizona - Denver, CO; 15. Iowa St. - Denver, CO; 16. Maryland - Spokane, WA; 4) Discuss in this thread if some team is being grossly overlooked - I could see arguments for Michigan, Monmouth, Valpo, Mississippi, Virginia Tech/Clemson/Florida State, or Oregon State. But over who? Maybe Houston, who had a bad loss yesterday?
  20. Stony Brook wins the America East.
  21. Houston, Tulsa, AND Cincy all lost in the American quarters, so the chances of a bid thief is now high, as the only team left in the field with a chance to win the league is UConn. Davidson could still be a bid thief in the A-10, as they made the semis. Michigan could be a bid thief (or play their way into the field) in the B1G. C-USA title is either Middle Tennessee or Old Dominion. San Diego State is in the finals of the Mountain West tourney, but should they lose, they were on the at-large worth field, so another bid could disappear (theirs?) Georgia or LSU could steal a bid in the SEC, if they can manage to knock off Kentucky and Texas A&M. Texas Southern lost in the SWAC semis, so the winner of that tournament is likely in the play-in games.
  22. It was 25-21 midway through the first half. Then Illinois stopped doing. ..pretty much anything.
  23. Purdue is playing well and Illinois looks tired and slow. Not a good combo.
  24. Michigan fans see opportunity. Illinois fans see an actual path to the conference tournament final (where they'd get blown out by MSU/Maryland)
  25. Also, I missed that UAB lost in the CUSA quarters, so...yeah, that conference is ugly now.
