    I mean, you do realize the asinine nature of the first sentence when you read it objectively correct? No, he was garbage in the first inning. Gave up 3 rockets, another hard hit out, and his rhythm looked way off. As I said two posts ago, glad to see he’s settled in. I guess for someone who’s been as good as him. Using garbage after literally one inning is excessive and over the top. Even for you. “Struggled” might be more accurate. 1 inning seems like too short a period to bust out “garbage” but whatever.

    I almost wish I could feel that feeling again but I know nothing sports related will compare. Wisco winning a national championship in football/basketball would come close though. Bears winning the Super Bowl is my white whale now but I know it won't compare at all to 2016. I think I'm just so fed up with that professional league (the way they've handled CTE/trauma both in terms of acknowledging its existence/covering it up and supporting players once they retire, the way the owners and trash fans have responded to oppressed people silently protesting by taking a knee) that it's soured me in terms of how "into" it I am.

    I'm just more embarrassed about my reaction to it. Right? I was in a deep funk all winter, just brutal. The ensuing baseball seasons didn't help matters either. Boston, White Sox, Cardinals? :barf: But 2016 happened and washed all that pain away. Bryant to Rizzo was the most thrilling moment of my life and I stood there like Andy Dufrense in the rain. I will never get tired of reliving that moment. I almost wish I could feel that feeling again but I know nothing sports related will compare. Wisco winning a national championship in football/basketball would come close though.

    Once we won in 2016, That game and that series ceased to carry any pain with it/them anymore.
