  1. don't let his mid-major status fool you. This is a guy that could have went to a higher profile program anytime in the last couple of years, but he has been extremely loyal to Creighton's program and would rather want to build up that program and stay there it seems like. People also are forgetting that they were without their best player (Nate Funk) for the entire season. I gurantee you if he played this year, they would have been in the NCAA Tournament instead of the NIT. He did a pretty good job of coaching a team without their best player as they were just short of making the NCAA's. If he's smart, he stays at Creighton or tries to get the Iowa or Indiana job...Missouri is a mess right now and IMO, it would be a pretty drastic drop from Creighton. If he went to Mizzou though, I'd be very happy if I were a Missouri fan..the guy is loyal to his program and he's a very underrated coach to boot.
  2. Bradley by 10! I do have Pitt in the Sweet 16, but I don't care much about my bracket anymore. I would just love to see the MVC prove all the doubters wrong with 2 teams going to the Sweet 16 this year.
  3. well my bracket is definitely done after going 3-5 today and losing 2 more Sweet 16 teams in Illinois and Indiana. congrats to Dee and James for outstanding careers. Unfortunately, like everyone has mentioned, the refs decided to have their final game end in a game of one-sided ticky tack calls in favor of Washington. It really sucks that this is how it ended for them...
  4. 22-10, but 5 Sweet 16 teams out (SIU, Marquette, Michigan St, Oklahoma, Syracuse) and 2 Elite 8 teams out (Syracuse, Michigan St.) Duke Indiana Illinois Wichita St. Boston College hopefully A&M can upset LSU, Alabama can upset UCLA and Wisconsin-Milwaukee upsets Florida..that would help me in my pools somewhat.
  5. man do i feel good for having Bradley over Kansas. The biggest highlight of my bracket so far  i'm hurt pretty bad after the 1st round, my worst showing in 3 years i think. 22-10, but 5 of my Sweet 16 teams are out and 2 of my Elite 8 teams are out as well as 1 of my Final 4 teams. i'm glad for the MVC. They were all handed 4 real good teams (the case for Seton Hall not being in the tournament can be made) and they come away with 2 wins, and nearly a 3rd in UNI. If Wichita St and Bradley can make the Sweet 16, I think the MVC will definitely have proved that they can play with the "big boys."
  6. hopefully the Illini take care of that prediction :D
  7. hey, welcome to the club...i've lost 5! thanks Michigan St for being my 2nd Elite 8 team out as well. At least I picked NC St. over Cal...*sigh*
  8. 4-4 so far today, 16-8 overall...ugh my bracket is terrible so far.
  9. Syracuse ruins my bracket..I am picking them to lose in the 1st round every year from now on. oh and also, the Big East = the Big Joke.
  10. MVC schools have the best shot IMO: Northern Iowa, Southern Illinois, Wichita State i'll agree with you there. SIU and WSU are in the Sweet 16 on most of my brackets and UNI is in the 2nd round on most of mine as well.
  11. I've filled out 10 brackets, and I have Kansas and UCLA losing in round 1 or 2 in 9 of them. My NSBB bracket has UCLA losing in the sweek 16. 2 real pools I'm in, 5 ESPN brackets and 2 yahoo brackets..I have Kansas beating Bradley only twice and UCLA moving on past the 2nd twice. I am not sold on Kansas at all...hopefully Bradley proves me right.
  12. that is a pretty bold prediction. I have Duke losing either next Thursday or Friday though. my first round lower seeds that are winning include: SIU over West Virginia, Bucknell over Arkansas, Bradley over Kansas, UAB over Kentucky, Wisconsin over Zona, NC St. over Cal, and Northern Iowa over Georgetown. Elite 8: Syrcause Texas Memphis Indiana (yeah I know going way out on this one) UConn Mich St. Boston College tOSU Final 4: Syracuse Memphis UConn BC UConn over Memphis
  13. i think it's safe to say our committee did a better job than the selection committee this year.
  14. wow, we had a 20 team draft. That took a while to say the least. Sorry that you couldn't join Otis, I don't know who took the spot. I was gone for most of the day and when I came on at 6:45, I couldn't believe we had 20 people in.
  15. a 7 foot center that can make the NBA in Patrick O'Bryant. If he gets in foul trouble though, Bradley has the tendency to just rely on the jump shot. They are extremely hot though. I think they've lost just 2 games in their last 12 or so. oh yeah, Marcus Sommerville and Tony Bennett know how to shoot as well. I think they are going to give Kansas all they can ask for.
  16. well NIU didn't make the NIT (figures). Go Mizzou St and Creighton..hopefully Mizzou St can show the committee that they were much deserving of the tourament than Air Force and Utah St.
  17. alright we have 13 now and we need an even number to conduct the draft. The draft is at 7 tonight so hopefully we can get at least one more in.
  18. 2 1/2 back thanks to the Bucks loss to the Clips tonight too. i said it earlier, I'll say it again. I do want Al Harrington in the offseason.
  19. yeah as of right now, I'd say they are leaning towards a 3 seed. Not that painful of a loss, but I would've wanted to win the Big 10 tourny 2 years in a row. I wish the tournament was at the UC every year.
  20. ugh, 3 point MSU lead with 46.1 left. I'd still go with the quick 2 strategy here though.
  21. if it weren't for Augustine, we'd be getting killed.
  22. i thought FSU lost yesterday?
  23. Cuse wins again.
  24. Minnesota put up a good effort, but they lose in the end 67-57. let's go Illini.
