  1. I'm heading out now...enjoy the game, guys.
  2. Leaving at 8 tomorrow. I'm not a fan of either team and I can't wait for this game to start :)
  3. Tonight's game was very much appreciated :D
  4. Missouri State-SIU at 2 today. HUGE game for us. A win, and we're back to only a half game out of first in the Valley.
  5. wowowowowowowow My friend, who has tickets to the game, told me that his brother is sick and that I'll be going to the game. Too bad my team isn't there, but it's still a playoff game and I haven't been to the new Soldier Field yet. Should be interesting.
  6. Hodge wasn't that bad in the limited time he played for us this season. I don't think tackles are the best way to judge what a LB can do because, like goony mentioned, every LB is going to have a ton of chances to make tackles.
  7. Exactly. How can you have a guy like Khryapa who hasn't played in several games get close to 20 minutes tonight? How can guys like Tyrus, Thabo, and Sweetney not even play? His substitutions are maddening and most of the time, they make no sense. The whole deal of benching Gordon and starting Duhon is absurd. Duhon is a good defender, but he doesn't do anything on offense. And when he starts, it moves Hinrich to the 2 where he is not comfortable at all. If Gordon starts, not only would it help us on offense, but it brings Kirk back to his natural position.
  8. Let's see. Take the last 4 losses for example. All games where we had a lead of greater than 12 points, but in the 2nd half, the opposing team makes adjustments, we fail to make adjustments, and they come back and win. How many games have we won in the last two minutes this season? How many have we lost? One of the most important aspects of being a basketball coach is managing the final two minutes. Skiles is horrible at doing that. Whatever, I'm not going to get in an argument about it. I've shifted my stance from a complete 360. Maybe sulley is right. Do you really believe that Skiles is the coach to lead us to the promised land?
  9. And Hinrich still sucks. FIRE SKILES!
  10. Hell, fire him anyway.
  11. Webber is old and busted. I would sign him for a 10-day at most and see what he gives you. He can not be any worse than the likes of PJ Brown and Viktor Khryapa.
  12. We need Webber. Mikki Moore is showing us why. This team is going absolutely nowhere unless we add another big guy that can score. Webber is out there and we can get him for cheap. But that makes too much sense for Paxson and Skiles.
  13. And now we're down by 4. If we lose this game, the loss is entirely on Skiles.
  14. It took me a while to realize Monday is MLK Jr. Day. Wish I had it off. :( At least you can watch tonight. Although their 18 point lead is down to 8 just like that. And now it's down to 3 :x
  15. I'd like Webber on the team. He seems to have a decent attitude and he wants to win.
  16. It took me a while to realize Monday is MLK Jr. Day. Wish I had it off. :( I'll be going back to SIU that day. Going to miss the Bulls game and waste most of the day doing that.
  17. BG has 17 already :D
  18. a 16 team conference is really, really dumb and i can't believe anyone approved it. You know your conference is too big when a) not everyone can play each other and b) the bottom 4 teams can't even participate in the conference tourney Everyone could play each other, but for whatever reason, the Big East decided to have each team play three teams twice and three teams not at all each year. It'd make sense if they were doing that to preserve rivalries, but no, the teams are randomly selected each year. I have no idea what the Big East thinks it's doing, but it pumps up ND's SOS each year so whatever. They are changing the scheduling problem in the future, as soon as next year I've heard. Will that scheduling plan include having all 16 teams in the conference tournament?
  19. I think Sidney Rice will be better than Samardzija too. I don't think there is any "will be" to it. I think he's already better. I think the receivers are ordered this way in terms of talent... 1. Johnson 2. Jarrett 3. (tie) Rice 3. (tie) Meachem 5. Samardzija 6. Ginn (the spaces are intentional) I don't like Ginn. The "just run until the DB covering you falls well behind you" game plan won't work well when every DB is fast and I've never seen Ginn catch a pass besides that variety. Ginn would give us a legit deep threat and a returner that we desperately need. I'm really hoping he's still available at 16.
  20. Packers need either a safety, a RB, or a WR. Landry at safety, Lynch and Bush at RB's, and any of those WR's would be nice.
  21. This draft is going to rule.
  22. Yeah, I think it's all but official. He's an ok coach, but if Arizona lets him anywhere near becoming a GM or having control on draft day, they are going to be screwed.
  23. SIU turned the ball over 20 times and lost 48-46. It was a tie game, but Bradley hit a shot with 5 tenths of a second left to win it. SIU falls to 12-4 and 3-2 in conference play. It doesn't get any easier as we have to play a red-hot Missouri State team on Saturday at Carbondale.
  24. And the most obvious one; why is Gordon still on the bench to start games and to start the 2nd half? The Bulls made their run in this game as soon as BG came in for Duhon. It's definitely not a coincidence either.
