  1. Illinois would blow this.
  2. Big difference between the Skins and Tampa Game, the Bears Won, the Saints lost. The giants suck and didnt deserve to be in the playoffs and the cowboys defense really hit the skids the last month of the season, even more so than the bears if the Saints are a hot team, the Bears are even hotter reguardless of what every [expletive] outside of John Clayton says at the [expletive] sports broadcasting network Why would wins and losses matter? Lets all marvel at the Saints. They are on fire. I mean they have won 6 of their last 11 games counting the playoff win. What an amazing streak they are on. well listening to ESPN you would think the bears were 3-7 over their last 11 instead of 7-3 I would hope whoever said the Bears are 7-3 in their last "11" would be fired on the spot.
  3. Owned. OH jeez an awkward position the quarterback is in after a sack and the tight end is on his knees. Believe me, there are some we can post with Favre and Urlacher. Who's in the Conference Championship again? It must suck to not have ever seen a Super Bowl in your lifetime. Too bad it's not 1996 anymore. Good luck with Aaron Rodgers. Nothing like stupid packer fans to divert my attention. You sure you weren't the person on the cell phone that I heard outside of Soldier Field after the game last week that said on his phone, "YEAH WE WON!!! PACKERS SUCK!" Well it is true. We did win and the Packers do suck. Pretty random thing to say, wouldn't you think? I know if we won a playoff game, the second thing I would say wouldn't have been, "BY THE WAY, BEARS SUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!111111111111" Please. I live in Milwaukee. You know as well as I do that plenty of Packer fans would rag on the Bears if the situation was reversed. edit - I've been to Cubs games at Miller Park where "Bears Suck" chants have happened, you Packer People are no different. I also have live in Milwaukee for a long time, and grew up in Madison. It always comforts me to know that no matter how stupid Bears and Cubs fans get, I know it could be so much worse. Packers fans are, without a doubt, the dumbest fan base in sports. My friends who are die hard packer fans agree with me. Dumbest fan base in sports    I'll hold my breath.

  8. Yeah, good luck with that.
  9. This isn't related to your post, but I love the play in your avatar. I have no idea why Rex doesn't do more of that when the pocket closes behind him. He is quicker than he gets credit for. I know. Look at the first cut he puts on the DB in that play. I would never argue Rex is a running QB, but that's not a move an "immobile" quarterback makes. Plus----don't you remember the Vikings game a couple years back when Rex blew out his knee? He was running successfully in that game, and the play he got hurt on was a TD he scored by running. I don't get it either. Kid can run if he wants to. He just doesn't. I think you answered your own question with the major ACL injury he suffered.
  10. At least that went right tonight. We had a huge 4th quarter to win the game. I believe Milwaukee only had 8 points in the 4th with 3 minutes left in the quarter, so the defense really turned it up. 3 in a row. Let's make it 4 on Saturday against the Utah Illini.
  11. eww, that's a bad loss. Evansville's RPI was around the 115 range, so it's not a TERRIBLE loss, but it is a bad loss. Our other 4 losses came to Arkansas, Indiana, Northern Iowa, and Bradley. So by far, this is our worst loss. As long as we take care of business though and have this be our only one "bad loss", I'll be satisfied.
  12. SIU loses to Evansville 75-68 :x :x :x It's best I don't say anything. I'm that pissed at our team right now. Better turn it up a couple of notches when we go down to Omaha on Saturday to take on Creighton.
  13. I think PR is even. Both Hester and Bush have the explosiveness to take one back anytime.
  14. I had the "pleasure" to watch NIU's game on Saturday against Central Michigan. Uh, wow. They flat out suck. That game on Saturday was probably the worst game I've ever seen on any level. They look that bad. James Hughes has all of the skills to be a great college player, yet he has no focus and no motivation. Mike McKinney is a good player at times, but also can be a very bad player at times. The rest of the team lacks basic basketball fundamentals and that all stems from the head coach. How this team got so bad in one year, I have no idea. Am I crazy or was there a Marcus McKinney at NIU that wore the same number? I'm guessing I'm nuts and it's the same guy but I thought there was one already. That guy #10, Paradise, can really shoot the trey - we would've probably run away with it early but for him, Lipkins and McKinney draining threes the entire first half. You may be thinking of Marcus Smallwood who wore #2. That would be my only guess. Paradise can shoot the 3, but he is a REAL dumb basketball player. He is way too turnover prone and his basketball IQ isn't all there. Lipkins is a solid player, but he isn't really used right by Judson. The team was expected to struggle this year, but not as bad as this. They should easily be 0-4 in the MAC as their win against WMU was a real fluke win on a choke job by the Broncos in the final 20 seconds. Their only four wins are against St. Mary's (of the D3 level), Duquesne twice, and WMU. Not very solid at all. Judson has to be fired after this year. Nothing but underachieving teams throughout his tenure at NIU.
  15. I think what ruins the Orange shirts are the white pants. Heres something to ponder: Orange shirts and blue pants. Didn't they do that for the Thanksgiving game against Dallas a few years back? I know it was the retro orange's, but I think they also wore the blue pants. Those unis were hideous.

  17. Colts-Saints please. Two of the more tolerable teams for me.
  18. Favre has also been running for his life the past two years. He's being pressured on almost every play. So while he may know what coverage the defense is in, being pressured like that is bound to lead to mistakes and errant throws. But I do see your point. If I'm in possibly the last year of my career, I wouldn't want to be a babysitter either. Unfortunatly, I was forced to watch every Packer game this year (often while watching the Bears at the same time, since I didn't miss a Bears game), and the Packer O-Line was not bad at all. People make a huge deal about the 3 rookies, but they all played quite well, and Favre had ample time to make plays. Now they certainly had a few bad games, but overall the Packer o-line was above average pass blocking, and average in run blovking. The O-line's pass blocking was exceptional this year. The run blocking even improved this year. I'm pretty content with how our offensive line will be in the next few years. And the Randy Moss trade rumors are swirling with Green Bay mentioned as a team the Raiders will contact. I guess the Packers' front office is hoping that Moss will regain the form he had in Minnesota and this would be a move that would definitely make Favre come back to the Packers for next season. Trades can't take place until March 1st, I believe, so it should be interesting to see what takes place.
  19. SIU moved back into a tie for 1st place in the Valley with a 72-62 win over Drake. SIU now stands at 14-4 and 5-2 in conference play. Two road games in a row starting tomorrow at Evansville. I doubt we'll be overlooking them as they did manage to beat us there last year at their place.
  20. This team has become a pretty big joke the last couple of weeks.
  21. Hawks are due to win one of these.
  22. thats what i was also reading right now.. i didnt understand what he meant... "i could've run for a TD" ???? If it was a good snap, he would've had a first, but a TD? On 4th and 1? I don't know about that.
  23. Just got back. Hell of a game to be at. Both coaches made some braindead coaching moves and Hasselbeck didn't make the plays when it mattered the most. The game seemed to have that feeling that the Seahawks were just that one play away from winning the game, but it didn't happen. The Bears D-line got NO pressure on Hasselbeck at all. And he still made some questionable decisions. He had all of the time in the world on the pick he threw, and what does he do? Throws it into double coverage. I just thought that a veteran QB like him wouldn't make as many rookie mistakes as he did. And I'll second the tired/hungry thing.
