  1. Their team last year grew on me. Plus I love Dontrelle and Cabrera. Two of my favorite players to watch. Seeing how most of their 03 team is gone, I have no ill will towards them. And I look at that series as we beat ourselves, not the Marlins beating us.
  2. Goony is Jersey Cubs Fan. I'm shocked this hasn't been cleared up to everyone by now. I thought it was pretty obvious.
  3. I hate BLooper.
  4. I would hope he would make those plays. He really did not have to range into the hole to make a play. Everything was hit right at him. Im still not that confident with him at ss. Are you confident with Cesar Izhoribble at SS? Not trying to pick on you directly dude, but I really can't stand the philosophy of "good" defense making up for a pathetic bat...I really can't. I can understand it, but it only works if that turns out to be the only weak spot in the lineup. Our lineup has been way too inconsistant to have the better defensive player in over the better offensive player.

Lou said that Theriot is the SS and for good reason. At least he can get on base. And by the way, MVP is a real solid game for the computer. I do have 30 homers with Lee at the end of May though
  6. Daytona up 5-2 in the bottom of the 6th. Marshall has had two straight 1-2-3 innings: 6 IP, 7 hits, 2 runs, 4 Ks/1 BB, 1 HR allowed. Colvin is 1/2 with 2 RBIs and a walk. Valdez has a triple and Matulia has a double.
  7. Marshall's line through 3: 6 hits, 2 runs, 2 Ks/0 BBs, 1 homer allowed, WP. 6 ground outs to 1 fly out. Daytona is tied at 2 in the bottom of the 3rd.
  8. I've been pleased with Lilly's success so far this year. But let's wait until the summer months to judge him. He is a flyball pitcher, so it should be interesting to see how he does at Wrigley when the wind is blowing out and when it's warmer outside.
  9. You have your priorities straight which means you have the game thread aura from me. We'll win for certain now. Winner.
  10. You know Flames, its things like that that make being a Cub fan the best. The stupid rituals, the annoying Ronnie Woo Woos, the dependence on curses. I just don't think you get it. That's just a shame
  11. Ok bleacher idiots, we can do without the whole "throw it back" spiel.
  12. What the hell kind of stretch was that? Anyway, coming back to a 6-2 lead is a pleasant surprise.
  13. Blowing in from CF at around 17 mph, according to Gameday.
  14. Not really a surprise at all. I doubt he'll pitch in 2008 as well.
  15. Gameday shows the ball is out of the park.
  16. This makes no sense at all. And now the sun is coming out at Wrigley. Len said the rain is still falling at Wrigley Field. Again, the game should start in about 30 minutes. A little drizzle has never killed anyone.
