  1. Who's going to throw him the ball? And who's protecting the QB? I know Calvin Johnson made Reggie Ball look good, but let's see if he makes Kitna look good.
  2. YES! Two on Shaq.
  3. Big Ben draws an offensive foul on Shaq. Deng hits a jumper on the other end. 10-7 lead.
  4. Great....2 on BG.
  5. You would think. Pretty sad state when your starting pitcher is a better hitter than those three position players.
  6. You're preaching to the choir here. Here's an interesting article on why the Raiders should no draft Russell. He compares Russell to Akili Smith. Quinn's a much safer pick than JMR, IMO.
  7. intelligent thinking from the lions?!?!?   Where is Matt Millen?
  8. And there's a rumor that the Raiders would trade down to the 3rd pick and get Braylon Edwards from the Browns so Cleveland could take Quinn. I could see this making much more sense than the Raiders drafting Quinn. Then the Raiders could take Thomas at the 3rd pick.
  9. This is the same Cardinals team that has weaknesses in both pitching and offense, right? After losing 2 of 3 to them last weekend, we need to take 2 of 3 from them this weekend.
  10. Yeah, I've heard that but I've also heard that we offered a 4th rounder to Oakland for Moss. I think Moss coming to Green Bay is much more likely than LJ coming to the Pack.
  11. -doesn't have great tools -too many walks Yeah, that about sums it up. It's mind-boggling how Fontenot isn't on the big league team. I know Cedeno tore up AAA last year, but he doesn't take walks and has shoddy defense. Fontenot needs to be on the big league team immediately. Rapada with a 1-2-3 9th to pick up the save as Iowa wins 7-4.
  12. Peoria lost 11-3. The Chiefs only had 4 hits; 2 by Yusuf, a double by Castillo, and a single by Alfred Joseph. Iowa up 7-4, headed to the 9th.
  13. FONTENOT! 2-run homer making it 7-4 Iowa. He's now 3/4 tonight and is just a triple away from the cycle. Tennessee loses 13-4.
  14. That's a lot of pitches for 0 walks and without having an abnormally high K number. He had several AB's where the Memphis hitters were battling him and having 8 or 9 pitch at-bats. Still, I'm pleased with his control tonight. Much better start tonight than Saturday's start.
  15. And for the second day in a row, the Smokies are getting blown out. Now down 13-3 in the 9th. Hart's final line: 5 and 1/3, 9 hits, 5 runs, 8 K's/3 BB's, 3 HR's allowed. Reinhard gave up 5 more in just 2/3's of an inning, including two more long balls. Peoria down 10-3 in the bottom of the 7th. Webb gives up a run in the 6th. Now a 5-3 Iowa lead as Memphis is still batting. Pignatiello now into the game.
  16. Daytona loses 6-4. Colvin was 2/5 with an RBI, a stolen base, and a run scored. Nate Spears was 4/5. Matulia was 2/5 with a double and two runs scored. Three of the Daytona runs came against Nolasco and Mitre. Tennessee down 7-2 in the 8th. Peoria now down 10-3 in the 6th. Pina had a bad outing tonight: 3 and 2/3s, 8 hits, 7 runs, 5 earned, 0 K's/3 BB's, 1 HR allowed. Iowa up 5-2 in the 6th.
  17. Webb allows one of the inherited runners to score. Guzman's final line: 4 and 1/3, 4 hits, 2 runs, 5 K's/0 BB's.
  18. Iowa now up 5-0 after an RBI groundout by EPatt and a 2-out RBI double by Fontenot. Peoria leads 2-1 after sac flies by Camp and Mota.
  19. Tennessee down 4-2 after 4. Spearman had a sac fly and Chris Walker had an RBI single. Hart has pitched the last two innings for the Smokies: 2 IP, 3 hits, 1 run, 1 K/0 BB's, 1 HR allowed. Daytona down 5-2 in the 5th. They were able to score two runs off of Nolasco. Peoria down 1-0 after 2 1/2. Pina has allowed 3 hits, 1 run, and has walked 2 through 3 innings. Iowa up 3-0 after 1. Guzman had a 1-2-3 inning inducing three groundouts. Fontenot has an RBI single and Hoffpauir and McGehee have SF's.
  20. Anyone? This one's the best I've found. http://www.basketballforum.com/chicago-bulls/ I used to post there a lot, but I'm not as into basketball as I am baseball. I used to be over there a lot, but now I use http://www.realgm.com/boards/viewforum.php?f=10. They seem to have more active posting there. Knowledgeable? And thanks RealGM has a real solid Bulls board.
  21. Hahahaha I'm a better OF than Rob Macowiak and I have an astigmatism. I saw that Anderson is DHing yeserday. I thought he was primarily a glove man at this point? Brutal. I've heard he's the best defensive CF in baseball. It is certainly disputable. Perhaps I gave him too much credit, but IMO, he's at least top 3-5 I think he is pretty good also. Clearly better than the 3 they had out there last night. Which is another thing I keep hearing about Erstad. How good his defense is. Like they had a defensive problem in CF last year. They did when Macowiak was out there but not when Anderson was. I just dont understand why the White Sox even have Anderson on the team. Ozzie hates him. He is not going to get better in the situation he is in. They should send him down or trade him. I would take him for Jacque Jones. We could probably get a arm in the deal also. Anderson for Jones? Where do I sign up?
  22. Marquis shutting down the Cardinals for his second time in less than a week would be appreciated.
