  1. Why? Isn't it in Houston? Houston usually has 1:05 starts for getaway day. I also think it's pretty stupid why it wasn't a day game today. Anyway, we'll lose. Trachsel on the mound combined with Cy Williams going for Houston doesn't give me too much hope.
  2. http://ckelly.typepad.com/photos/uncategorized/2007/09/12/20070912ds.jpg as seen on CardsTalk. 400 seems pretty generous.
  3. Votto with an RBI double off the top of the wall that scores 2. 3-1 Reds.
  4. Already looking forward to the SIU-NU game next year.
  5. 7 innings of 1 run, 3 hit ball is pretty damn good. Nice game, Rich.
  6. Cards lose!
  7. What a sweet way to end the game. Let's get a W tonight.
  8. Wow, look at these Bucs go. Please Capps, don't make it interesting at all.
  9. Osoria gets the K!
  10. Third inning in a row where we're going to blow the leadoff single.
  11. Marquis is just as big of a headcase as Zambrano is.
  12. LOL, another missed catch by Ankiel, this time when Belisle is up. Now 7-1 Reds.
  13. Hahaha, Ankiel with a terrible baserunning play in the top of the 3rd and then he completely misses a flyball just shy of the track in the bottom half of the inning.
  14. After a big win over the Cardinals on Monday, the Cubs go back on the road to begin a 3 game series against the Astros. Last time the Cubs went to Houston, the Astros swept the Cubs in three very disappointing games. Pitching matchup: http://chicago.cubs.mlb.com/images/gameday/mugshots/mlb/150302.jpg Jason Marquis: 11-8, 4.13 ERA, 172 IP, 156 hits, 97 K's/69 BB's http://chicago.cubs.mlb.com/images/gameday/mugshots/mlb/407840.jpg Brandon Backe: 0-1, 4.76 ERA, 5.2 IP, 8 hits, 0 K's/3 BB's Houston is not that good of a team, so of course they are going to give the Cubs their share of struggles. I expect all three games in this series to be close. The Cubs really do need to go on a winning streak and winning tomorrow would be a solid start to the series. Just don't lose, you stupid idiots.
  15. Cubs win! So if Bob can't start the game thread for tomorrow, should I start it or should umfan start it?
  16. I agree. If he was on them, he stopped taking them after the media report and they instantaneously wore off. That's nice. I still hate him.
  17. First AB that I watched was Lee's. Needless to say, I think I'm good luck today.
  18. SIU gets a gimme against Southern Utah next week. We beat them 59-0 last year. Looking for much of the same this week. Illinois should be able to roll over 'Cuse, but if they play as poorly as they did against WIU, then who knows? NIU also plays a pretty bad team in Eastern Michigan as they open up MAC play. Pretty decent chance for all 3 teams to win.
  19. It's after midnight, I'm tired, and the Cubs need to win. So I'm putting it in my hands to deliver us a win against the hated Cardinals. Pitching matchup: http://chicago.cubs.mlb.com/images/gameday/mugshots/mlb/334492.jpg Joel Pineiro: 5-3, 4.28 ERA, 73.2 IP, 84 hits, 43 K's/21 BB's http://chicago.cubs.mlb.com/images/gameday/mugshots/mlb/150404.jpg Ted Lilly: 14-7, 3.85 ERA, 180 IP, 159 hits, 149 K's/51 BB's Hopefully my good luck from my football teams can translate to good luck for the Cubs this week. Losing 2/3 to the Bucs is about as bad as it can get. But with a win over the Cards tomorrow, we put them 3 games behind us. So yeah, this game is kind of a big deal. Just don't lose, you stupid idiots.
