Yeah, I just heard the comments on NFL Live (terrible show btw). I think he was pretty accurate in his assessment. He basically just said that the WR's the Bears have are unproven and that every other position on offense grades out as a positive to the team. It's not like Driver just decided to spout off about the Bears and their receivers. He was asked a question about what he thought of their receivers and he responded to it. I don't really think it's bulletin-board material at all but I can see how it'd be used as such.

Nevermind. Quinn's stats are a bit better than I thought they'd be. I seem to remember him being absolutely horrible in 2004. I remember the Thanksgiving game that year between the Bears and Cowboys, it was seriously the most painful game to watch ever. I believe Quinn started for the Bears and Drew Henson started for Dallas, with Vinny Testaverde coming in later in the game. For the game, Quinn was 10-21 for 86 yards, 0 TD, and 2 INTs, while Henson was 4-12 for 31 yards, 0 TDs and 1 INT. The difference in the game (Dallas won 21-7) was the fact that Julius Jones had 150 yards rushing and 2 TDs, while his brother Thomas had only 46 yards and 0 TDs. I stopped watching midway through the third when the game was still tied at 7, that's how bad it was. That was an abysmal game to watch. Not to mention the fact that the Bears were in those hideous pumpkin-orange jerseys to boot. The Burris Tampa game was one of the worst games I've ever watched as well. I think Tampa won the game 12-0 or 15-0 where all the points came on field goals, and you can't forget the three idiots on ESPN SNF calling the game. The glory days with Patrick, Maguire, and Theismann...yuck.

It's been that way the whole season and I really don't see it changing anytime soon. I would absolutely love it if our farm club in Pittsburgh gives us Freddy Sanchez for nothing of significant value.

If you're going to call the Rockies and Giants bad, then call every team in the NL Central bad as well. A little consistency.. Unlike a lot of people in sports talk radio who are enamored with Jason Marquis and people that complain that we don't have him, I just point to our starters' ERA for proof that we don't miss Marquis at all. The starting rotation hasn't been close to our problem this year. Yeah we didn't get anything in return for Marquis, but anyone watching the Cubs the last two years knew how pitiful he was for the amount of money he was making. Plus I remember Marquis having two pretty good first halves for us in 07 and 08 (especially 07) before having two horrid second halves. It happens. -
