  1. That's what I was going to post. Florida-Tenn, ND-MSU, VT-Nebraska, Tulsa-Oklahoma, and Oregon-Utah. That's a pretty good slate of games.
  2. First win for NIU against a BCS team since the magical 2003 year when they beat three. Beautiful.
  3. Jerry Kill is the man.
  4. But they have USC's offensive coordinator and they played LSU tough!
  5. This is unbelievable. I knew Purdue's defense was bad but I didn't think they were this bad.
  6. NIU's playing their best game in a few years. Purdue's fortunate that they're only down by 14.
  7. If they can compete with Florida in-state, more power to them. Jacory Harris is pretty fun to watch.
  8. Who cares?
  9. Adam_Schefter: This just in: veteran linebacker Derrick Brooks signed -- with ESPN2's First Take as an NFL Analyst. Our roster gets bigger + better. Again.
  10. Adding onto the DeRosa comments, STL fans seem very confident that he will take a short-term deal to remain a Cardinal this offseason as well. Get me the O-Dawg.
  11. I don't. Yeah...I hope they get what they can for him. It's doubtful that he's going to get better moving forward. Exactly. He's been awesome this season but his value will never be higher than it is after this season. The thing that concerns me about that is we don't really know what the concept of selling high is, so we'll probably hold onto him.
  12. I'm thinking about going there too. Tickets are pretty cheap on StubHub.
  13. You guys end with an easier schedule while we have a tough finish with Baltimore, @ PIT, @ CHI, and @ ARI all on the schedule over the course of the final couple of months. I'm definitely not taking Cincy for granted. I know they had a demoralizing loss but we can't afford a letdown. We need to be 3-0 before going into Minnesota to start October.
  14. That's a lot of parentheses. I said it before, I'll say it again. Tom Cable just looks like a gigantic meathead.
  15. I really wish teams would scrap this form of a 'defense' from their playbooks.
  16. Rivers looks like crap.
  17. Last year when the Packers ran all over the Bears at Lambeau because McCarthy tried to expose the Bears who were trying to shut down the passing game it was brilliant, but this time it was stubborn and horrible? Yeah. We're a team that needs to pass to set up the run yet McCarthy always makes it a point of emphasis to get the ground game going. I know our RT looked horrible yesterday but our offensive line is much better at pass blocking than opening up holes for our running game too. Besides when you have Rodgers and the WR's and the pass-catching TE's that we have, why wouldn't you air it out more? I think last year's game at Lambeau was an aberration of sorts because it always seems like you guys shut our running game down. Then again, run stopping for the Bears is hardly ever a problem as they're always easily in the top 10 in that category year in and year out.
  18. I don't agree with most of that, but I do agree with the Urlacher comment. Well of course you don't agree with what I said about a healthy Bears team being better than Green Bay. What kind of fan would admit their favorite team is inferior to another? I think it's pretty close. The Bears defense played great yesterday but give credit to McCarthy for calling one horrible game. Everyone knows the weakness of the Bears defense is their secondary and McCarthy stubbornly tried to get the ground game going for the better part of the first three quarters. Urlacher was a big part in stopping the Packers run game yesterday. He looked pretty good last night. That loss will have some pretty big ramifications. He might be on the wrong side of his career, but he's still a pretty good LB. I'm sure you guys will split with us, we'll split with Minnesota, and you'll split with Minnesota. That's the way this thing is going to take shape.
  19. Don't let your 49ers bias cloud your vision; Steve Young sucks as a talking head too.
  20. The Turner brothers need to get the hell out of football.
  21. Wow, what a joke. And I lose in my Fantasy Football league because Moss made that last catch by one damn yard and one [expletive] point.
  22. Interesting, but does he have anything left at all? Shot the resident Reds/Bucs fan (reds44) a text about that and he doesn't seem to think so. He's lost a lot of speed the last few years and his coverage ability isn't very good. It's not a good sign when all the veterans that the Bucs cut in the offseason weren't able to catch on with any other team throughout the summer. Yea I was hoping TT would chime in as I know hes a Bucs fan as well. Even with him losing some speed and such, Id have to believe hes better than Hillenmeyer. That's what I would think too. I don't think it was a coincidence that our running game picked up in the second half when Hillenmeyer replaced Urlacher.
  23. More than likely.
  24. NHL 10 comes out tomorrow and yes, Kane is still on the cover. I love how short the NHL offseason is.
