  1. Bring him and Levi Jones in. We need all of the help that we can get. If Tausch is healthy, he's a gigantic improvement over Barbre. Clifton needs to get healthy so Colledge can move back to guard. He's atrocious as a left tackle.
  2. I don't think Gibson was a great pick. I loved the JJ pick, though. I don't expect Deng to average 18-19. If he can give me 16-17 and 8 on a regular basis, I'd be fine with that. Like I said, I think they're probably going to be about the same as they were last year.
  3. We get TB too after the rematch against Minnesota.
  4. Miami's going to upset the Jets. Other than that, there's like two or three good games this upcoming week. Mix that in with a Packers bye week and this week absolutely blows. And for one of those good games, here's this: http://cdn.ksk.uproxx.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/ortonjack.gif
  5. And people wonder why journalism is a dying industry.
  6. LOL Wht? Has 28 tackles through 4 games. On pace for 112. Not amazing but hardley "irrelevant" 1 tackle for loss and 1 sack. I think I'd rather have Jared Allen with his hand on the ground rushing the passer than dropping into coverage a good percentage of the time and making tackles 5 yards down the field. Its his 4th game as a OLB. I would rather have Jared Allen period. You know the Packers better than I do, but he was your impact guy in the front. He had 39 sacks the last 3 years. He has 1 tackle for loss in 4 games in his new spot and simply doesn't look comfortable. He was an impact player as a 4-3 DE. Granted it's early in the transition but he looks like just another guy as a 3-4 standup OLB. The problem is we have a lot of 'guys' in our defense, especially our LB's. Kampman, Hawk, Barnett, and Chillar are all guys that really don't step up and make the big play. That play by Matthews today was huge and I really think he's going to be the guy to point at on this defense for the next few years to come.

  8. It's not close right now, but it wasn't close in 2003 when the Vikes started out 6-0 either. We all know what happened then too. I'll give credit where credit is due. You guys have a damn good team right now. The Vikings strengths played to the Packers weaknesses and that was obviously the difference in the game.
  9. We should've traded him in the offseason.
  10. Yeah and ignore that there was also an offsides on the Packers and the PI didn't matter. Doesn't change the fact that the PI was a brutal, brutal, brutal call. I also think Adrian's longest run was a brutal non holding call on sidney rice Yep. The refs were more balanced in the second half and they weren't the reason why we lost, so I'm not going to complain about it that much.

  12. I wasn't either. We'd be 4-0 if we had an average offensive line. Aaron Rodgers has been sacked 20 times this year. TWENTY. No kidding, its a joke. their o-line sucks but sometimes he really just needs to throw the ball. when he got safetied in the end zone the blocking wasn't too bad; he held the ball far too long. you can't have third and long from your own one yard line and expect to scramble around for 5 seconds. there was another one of those plays tonight too, i think it was on first down somewhere around the minnesota 35, he had good protection but held the ball way too long and got sacked. That said, there's been quite a few times this year where he's scrambled out of sacks and has made some good plays on his feet. I do agree with you though, he needs to learn how to throw the ball away.
  13. My mistake on 7 home games, for some reason I totally blanked that you came to South Bend this year (and I was there so that was especially dumb). CMU is not almost as good as ND. They're a really good MAC team, but the MAC really, really sucks. LeFevour would have himself a day against ND's defense. I hate using the transitive property but it's really the only way you can judge some teams in college football. CMU beat MSU and MSU lost to ND by a whole 3 points. I think ND would beat Central Mich, but it'd be like every other Notre Dame game with the exception of Nevada.

  15. Goat of the game, for sure. We'd be fine if he didn't drop that TD pass. Hell, if we just took 3 that drive we'd have life.
  16. hey look guys, fake rally.
  17. That drop by Lee looks gigantic now. Ugh.
  18. Rodgers might die on the field this year.
  19. He has to catch the ball first.
  20. Gruden's making Madden look tame.
  21. His awareness is fine, he just isn't accustomed to throwing the ball away which is a problem (especially with a horrid line).
  22. Actually, it's a pretty good one. They get 2 points out of it, keeping it at a 2 possession game (16 points). If they don't challenge, Minnesota's guaranteed at least 3, basically ending the game. The game's basically over, but it's a good challenge by McCarthy.
  23. We went 4-0 in pre season, last time I checked thats pretty good 3-1, actually. Second of all I didn't give a [expletive] about the record in the preseason, it was the way the first unit's looked. We absolutely overrated them.
  24. Not really. They had the right idea and a better chance to win the game if they focused on stopping #28 compared to Favre.
