He was excellent in that scenario last playoffs. But he may not be that same guy right now. He had an excellent Game 5, but he was horrible in Game 4.

Is that John Wall? It looks like John Wall. It's probably him. "And it's... well... what's the call here?" (everyone in america yelling at their television - IT'S GOALTENDING) "And that's going to go against Wall....or is it? (long pause) Yes...it's his third." I sat next to him at the MVC Tournament the day before he did the game on CBS and the guy definitely prepares for games. He's just getting up there in years. Matter of fact, he's been getting up there in years for the last eight or nine years now.

Considering Bilas is one of the most unbiased analysts alive, I have a hard time seeing how he comes off as "pretty biased." But believe what you want to believe, I guess.

Who is? We own Vancouver most nights, San Jose is reeling as hard as we have been if not harder. Would you call Nashville or LA as legitimate force? Detroit of course scares the crud out of me. Detroit, San Jose, and Vancouver (in that order) are the teams that I'm most concerned about.

I don't know. They might play like crap, they might get on a hot streak again. Nothing to do but hope for the best. Sports are fickle like that. I definitely *wanted* a better goalie. I just don't think the season's over because we didn't get one. As we showed last night, we are perfectly capable of beating the best in the Western Conference with what we have now. I still don't really think the Coyotes are a legitimate force in the conference.

Gus and Raftery together . . . +1 to Raftery being awesome. He was on fire this weekend. That clip reminds me. I absolutely hate the standard generic floor that all sites had to use. Agreed.

Gregg Marshall is the one that seems to be going around the most. Again, there's absolutely nothing wrong with that hire for Iowa.

That save by Niemi midway through the third was beautiful. Great win today. Nice to get a big win like this against Phoenix in regulation.

We won the MVC regular season crown both years, but Creighton beat us in the MVC Final both of those seasons. It's an interesting stat, but it's one that probably shouldn't be getting as much play as it is right now. Harlan completely screwed it up the first time he mentioned it on Saturday saying that it would have been the first time any MVC team made the Sweet 16 since Bird's team. I miss when SIU was relevant. Thanks, Chris.

Packers select Major Wright out of Florida. Secondary help is needed after the disaster that was put up at the end of the season against the Steelers and Cardinals.

UNI was an extremely under-seeded team. They probably should've been a 5 seed and instead, they were a 9. Great job of representing the MVC today. I don't care that my bracket's dead. That game was completely worth it.

Hey, maybe the Pac-10 isn't that bad after all! I can't remember a league that was as 'good' as the Big East supposedly was this season and then crapping the bed in the tournament like this. Louisville looks like one of the worst teams that I've seen over the last two days.
