Hendry won't fire him, and it wouldn't help. What we need is a fire sale. I want both. Hendry's a lame duck GM, though. I don't think an all-out fire sale is coming. If ownership calls for it, I'm not sure he'll have much of a choice, other than to resign. And an all-out fire sale isn't realistic, with some of the contracts the Cubs have. But shipping Lee, Lilly, Silva, Theriot, Nady and maybe Fukudome would be helpful (for next year). Absolutely, I'm all for a complete overhaul. That's really the only thing I'll accept at this point. Nobody knows the Ricketts well enough yet, so I guess we'll just have to wait and see. It's completely obvious that this team is dead in the water, though. There's no resurrection coming here. I don't know how the Sox did it, but just because they somehow overcame their terrible start doesn't mean we are. There's just nothing to really like about this team, outside of the outfield and Marmol. Everyone else can go and I wouldn't shed a tear.
