  1. Oh and lol at the Packers being a perennial powerhouse. A team that has two playoff wins in 13 years is a powerhouse?
  2. 3 losses on three game-winning field goals. I think we're allowed to feel like [expletive] after that. This season is a carbon copy of the 2008 season. We're in every game but we shoot ourselves in the foot with either costly penalties on offense, or braindead penalties on defense. We're a little more banged up this year compared to 2008, but we had our fair share of injuries that season as well. Watch us outscore opponents again this year and finish 6-10, somehow. If that happens twice in three years, surely something has to be done to the head coach, right?
  3. Let's see the refs uphold this call.
  4. This is looking just like the Ohio State game. Have to beat the refs too, for some crazy reason. Michigan State isn't any good, by the way. I hope Iowa smokes the [expletive] out of them.
  5. WHAT THE [expletive]? HOW WAS THAT A FUMBLE?
  6. Spoke too soon.
  7. I still have flashbacks to that Wild game from last year.
  8. There's no chance they beat you guys. Did you see that game yesterday? Kansas was 1-7 in the conference last year and we still needed a safety and a GW FG in the last few minutes to beat them. It might not be that dire this year, but the games are almost always close, regardless of the quality of the two teams. That's true but they are beyond awful this year. They made K-State look like a top 5 team in the country.
  9. There's no chance they beat you guys. Did you see that game yesterday?
  10. Not like we didn't get off to slow starts the last two years, or anything...hey, those Wings have sure looked like worldbeaters in their last few games too!!!! Scott actually might be useful tomorrow night when Buffalo starts taking cheap shots at Hammer.
  11. If he's had 5 previous concussions and he doesn't remember any of them............... I'd say there is no possible way that they didn't actually not happen! Not the most credible source in the world, but Boers and Bernstein were talking about a Sports Illustrated article from when Cutler was at Vanderbilt. There was one specific game against TCU where he said he was going to the huddle, not knowing what he was talking about, and was calling the wrong plays. There was a game in 2006, when he was with Denver, where he burned three second-half timeouts on one drive very early in the second half. He said that he didn't remember a whole lot about that game either. I highly doubt that this is his first concussion if that evidence is actually true.
  12. The best part about that is how nobody stops to see what happened to him as he's on the ground. If that really happened yesterday, that's amazing.
  13. I'm so sick of Scott, Boynton, and Hendry. And it's only been four games.
  14. I don't like this. At all. Turco wasn't great his first two games but he was hardly the reason why we lost those games.
  15. Boy, that would've been nice. Way to fall asleep there, Thompson. And Divine, go with Quarless. He looked pretty good last week and I'd bet he ends up getting more burn than Lee even when Lee comes back healthy.
  16. Nothing's going right for us. One of our beat writers just tweeted that Finley's injury would last longer than 3 weeks, but it wouldn't be season-ending. Rodgers should be good to go for Sunday, thankfully. Matthews will probably be a game-time decision.
  17. We need this game badly before the death march really begins.
  18. I'd guess two games.
  19. Isn't Rice still not likely to be back once he's eligible to come off the PUP list? Oh and besides the Vikings-Bears game, that's the last MNF game I'm watching this season. It is seriously unwatchable TV listening to those three idiots call a football game.
  20. That's why yesterday's game was so important for us. I'd be content with going 3-3 in that stretch. Thrilled with anything better than that. I do think Miami has to be one of the wins so Sunday is almost necessary in my mind.
  21. What a beautiful shot by Hoss.
  22. Saw the replay of the final play on ESPN during a commercial for the Hawks game and that really frustrates me. How in the hell is that not a penalty? That was much more obvious than the face mask against Arizona.
  23. It's still a face mask though, isn't it? If the league truly wants to protect the quarterbacks, shouldn't they actually protect them instead of just worrying about whether or not a defender is in Tom Brady's face?
  24. I was driving back home from SIU yesterday and only watched the first half, so thankfully I missed the end of the game. But apparently on the deciding play, Rodgers was hit late by a defender who was off the ground when he hit him. The way we were playing, we still would have lost (that was the hit where Rodgers was concussed) so it more than likely wouldn't have mattered anyway. I don't understand how Brady, Favre, and Peyton get these calls and Rodgers doesn't. It sounds like sour grapes but the face mask on the final play of the Arizona game last year was clear as day and they didn't call it. If the NFL truly wants to protect the QB's, make sure you use the same rules you give the other guys.
  25. Doesn't college football keep you away from home more? You'll have really late nights in both, but it seems like college would keep you on the road more due to recruiting visits. Am I wrong here? It seems like Dungy would prefer the level that kept him closer to home more of the time – though I think Dungy is genuinely done coaching. Sort of but you can have the coordinators and assistants set up recruiting visits and then Dungy would just be the guy to close out the deal for the bigger recruits.
