  1. This team is pretty useless without Rose, although I guess you could say the same thing about the elite teams without their star player(s). Since when did Shannon Brown get good at basketball? I remember he was our 12th man a couple of years ago and whenever he played, he was pretty awful. I really don't like that guy. The lack of a 2 guard is a definite problem that needs to be addressed. We're really not that far off. The problem is I don't really see us trading for Carmelo, even if Gibson continues to play as well as he has been.
  2. Matt Ryan has only lost 1 time at home, and that was his rookie year. The Jets haven't even established a home field advantage yet, as the stadium has only been open for 2 1/2 months. I think there's a huge difference, and that's not including the noise factor in the dome vs. being outside. Not saying you can't win in Atlanta, but winning in the Meadowlands isn't nearly as tough a task. The noise factor in Minnesota, even with a struggling team, is probably still greater than that of Atlanta. That's not even mentioning the fact that we just played in Minnesota so if there is a time to play the Falcons, this would be it. As for Ryan's record at home -- well, he's due to lose one. I hope it's to us.
  3. that you know about or overall? i am probably missing something obvious, but what happened? A girl who accused a ND player of sexual assault a while back killed herself shortly thereafter. This story just came out late last week, I think. I'm kind of amazed it's not getting more air, actually. It's all they were talking about on WSCR yesterday.
  4. We actually match up pretty favorably with the Falcons. Their pass defense is below average and right now, our pass offense is finally clicking. I fully expect McCarthy to stubbornly run the ball early and waste a few drives in the process, though. It's going to be tough to win at the Georiga Dome. We did win at the Meadowlands, so this is certainly doable too.
  5. 1998 Vikings? 2009 Vikings? Regular season wise, I might agree with dexter. It's a nice feeling whenever the Heat lose.
  6. It seems like we've had our way with the Vikings defense ever since Frazier has been the DC. I wouldn't mind it if the interim tag was removed after this season.
  7. I'm sure we will but why do people read Peter King in the first place?
  8. Wisconsin in the title game? No, Boise State.
  9. Packers point differential is +106, which leads the league. The Steelers are the next closest at +70. If only Matthews didn't get hurt in the 3rd quarter of that Washington game, we'd be in real good shape right now.
  10. After Pelini's tirade on the sideline yesterday, I'd quit too. Go Boise, Alabama, and Arizona. Throw in Arkansas too.
  11. Eventually, I'll get over it. Maybe even as soon as this season.
  12. Yeah, really. I think everybody can hear that, Joe.
  13. Run this [expletive] up.
  14. lol, he was crying for a face mask after that play. Go home, old man.
  15. I don't think he's ever missed a kick against us. Thanks, Kleinsasser.
  16. This is awesome. Don't hold back either. I want blood.
  17. Beautiful end to the half there. Nothing like turning a Brent pick into seven points.
  18. Not sure what the hell you're talking about, but I thought the whole experience was awesome. We purchased SRO tickets and saw that there were a couple of empty rows down the right field foul line at around the 20 yard line. We went there midway through the first quarter and sat there for the whole game. Can't really beat that for $25 tickets.
  19. I think we're the best in the East with Melo.
  20. I'm sure the Bulls would be hesitant to pull the trigger on that deal. I agree that both Taj and even Deng, as much as I rag on him, are solid contributors to a good team. When you have the chance to get a legitimate superstar, you do it.
  21. We face Orlando and Boston after the circus trip, but then we hit a real soft spot in our schedule. If we can get through this trip at 4-3, we'll be in great shape.
  22. Again, I think they'd have to cave to that at the deadline. Keep upping that trade value, Taj!
  23. I'm hoping they do. I've always been a NW fan, when they're not playing Illinois.
  24. Looks cool. Regardless of the whole end zone fiasco, it should still be a fun day.
