To all of you who are still here:: they just showed that Barrett baserunning again on comcast and that was terrible!!! It was the turning point in the game IMO. What I love is that Plesac says that you have to cut Barrett some slack because he has a sore leg, yet I remember last year playing the cards and ROlen was hustling and killing us even though he had just came back from a leg injury. I am sure a similar thing will happen when Nomar comes back. WE always have excuses--ALWAYS!!!!!!!!!! I agree 100% witht the guy who talks about the difference between cubs and cards is not talent--it is execution. That is why the sum of our parts always seem to be greater than the sum of our whole!! I am heading to St Louis this weekend and I fear what I am going to see......is it going to be a knockout blow??

Just to clarify during the inning. Barret would have been out had he run on Cedenos ball--I agree. But he definitely should have scored on burnitz's double--he just jogged to 3rd and then the ball skipped away from griffey and he couldn't react. THE IS NO DOUBT THAT HE SHOULD HAVE SCORED ON THAT BALL

Does anyone else find this all to be soooooooo incredibly strange.....the whole situation is just weird!! :? 1) Guy comes in with a new rumor about Dunn and is adominant about this being fact. Stated everything very nicely and seemed real genuine IMO 2) A radio announcer talks about this same trade on the air--I have never heard another announcer talking about something like that. And the fact that he describes the exact same deal is just too strange to not be "something" 3) Even with this on-air, Bruce Miles comes in and says there is nothing to it and it is not a rumor. Remember, he didn't say that Hendry turned down the deal, he said there was no deal exchanged. 4) The initial poster is banned from this board and nobody seems to know why--like I said he seems to be very genuine and even if the trade falls through, we all must admit he was not outrageous in his claims. All of this just reaks of suspicion for me. I am going to bed, but I have a feeling that tomorrow is going to be a very interesting day. I truly thinks this was in the works, but it was not supposed to get out before the teams were done playing and now they are damage controlling...................or it is all just cockamamie!!!! I guess we will see after the game tomorrow.................... oh ya, by the way, that is a fairly large game for us tomorrow--6-2 against pirates/reds is real good, but 5-3 hardl does much for me!! I am even more interested after seeing that Bren was really talking about on the radio. If the Reds don't want the deal to be finalized until after the series, what is JH supposed to do--tell the reds announcer that the trade has been agreed upon, obviously not!!! It is an old saying---where there is smoke, THERE IS FIRE!!!!!! I would not be surprised to hear of this going down before July 31 or maybe after this series like sweetemotion says. I just still don't get why everyone here thinks if Miles said it is not so, then that is the law!! Hendry is always been pretty good at playing his cards close to his vest!! Not that I don't agree that with all the principle players playing tonight that this seems like a bogus rumor, but to be honest I am not sure I see where Bruce Miles now knows that the Cubs and Hendry would not trade Dunn straight up for Rich Hill. I mean did he have a conversation with Hendry and say would you do Dunn for Hill and Hendry said no way--do we really think Hendry is telling ANYONE what they would do. Especially not another member of the media. All that said, I agree with the rest that this all is pretty far fetched.

MAn oh man Those of you who pay attention know that I normally give Dusty the benefit of the doubt, but we have won 8-9 with JHJ and Walker at the top and it is like he has to get JHJ out of there somehow. Probably thinks a young strong guy like that needs a day off!!, but somehow Burnie never needs one. I just don't get it
