  1. Packers can't stop it either. Packers are actually worse at stopping it.
  2. And they had a FG blocked on the best opportunity they had after the Cutler fumble (I believe).
  3. Didn't I read that Allen was benched for a lot of the 4th quarter? Willie Young was on the field a lot.
  4. At least Brady won't be running read-option. The Bears have no idea how to defend it. I missed a lot of yesterday's game but that 4th and 1 read option in the third was painful. Peyton Manning could have converted that play. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Best part was before that play the announcers mentioned that Tannehill was running early, and I said to myself (outloud) "and he's going to do it now". Easiest play call ever. I think it was Houston that crashed down. I never understood why DEs did this on a play to the opposite side. Only 3 things can happen if you're left DE and the play goes to the defense's right. 1) someone else makes the tackle, and your help isn't needed. 2) there's a hole and your help isn't helpful because the RB is already well past the line of scrimmage you are crashing or 3) he cuts back right to where you are, which isn't helpful if you are trying to get to where he is instead of where he is going.
  5. The Dolphins are actually a good game to have prior to the Patriots. Kinda like Tannehill, old Brady sucks at throwing the ball over 20 yards. The Dolphins, I guess, had the threat of throwing it deep because they do have Mike Wallace. But I don't believe they ever ran him on a deep route over 18-20 yards yesterday. The Patriots will run a guy or 2 down the field, but pretty much since the Randy Moss days, they've been doing that to open up the underneath stuff for an easy throw, catch and run. Almost 82% of their completions have gone to TEs, RBs, or Edelman who is a WR, but hasn't had a play over 20 yards since having a 44-yard catch in both Weeks 1 and 2. So, if the Bears LBs play with their backs turned again, they'll get lit up again. Oh and somebody other than Ratliff probably is going to have to show up to play on the D-line.
  6. Yep, as long as the offense was good you could ignore his other faults. But when his area of expertise is what's leading to the losses, it is a problem. Yep, that's what I've been saying for a few weeks. If this team isn't scoring 28 ppg like it was last year, what's Trestman's value to this team? He's not a motivator like Rex Ryan. He's not a disciplinarian like Coughlin or someone. He's not a player's coach like Lovie was. He's not strong in-game or as a leader like a Belichick. His value is in getting this offense to score points and win games. They averaged 7 points per quarter last year, they've been held to 7 or fewer points in a half in 5 of the 7 games this year. It's going to be interesting to see what happens if this year continues like this. I've been thinking about it since yesterday, and you kinda have to fire Trestman don't you? The offense is all under contract for next year. You can't blame it on Cutler and toss him aside (which is why I would have just franchised him). You aren't going to be able to trade Marshall, who looks like he might be a problem if this team doesn't do anything significant on the field. All you can do is blame Tucker and retool the defense again. And if they keep playing average-ish, I don't think there's enough you can possibly do on that side of the ball to combat the fact that the offense isn't as advertised.
  7. This [expletive] sucks.
  8. Agreed, but you know where the narrative is going to go now... ...even thought his INT led to nothing, and that strip/sack wasn't his fault. Huh? That INT was terrible and stopped a drive. Some people refuse to accept reality. Jay is a big part of the inconsistent offense. He's the QB. He's the biggest part. Not a coincedence when he turns the ball over the team loses.
  9. Agreed, but you know where the narrative is going to go now... ...even thought his INT led to nothing, and that strip/sack wasn't his fault. There's no reason he couldn't have held on to that ball. Sack not his fault, but that fumble was ridiculous.
  10. Its easy to say "Fire Tucker" because frankly he sucks. But a purely offensive head coach can't justify firing the defensive coach when HIS offense is the reason this team has a losing record. A team that averaged 28 points per game last year has had single digit halves in all but 2 games this year.
  11. Marshall complaining that the MVP-in-the-making in Cutler didn't throw him the ball enough. Not the first time he's said this, won't be the last. Maybe Marshall forgot that part of the reason the Bears are 3-4 is because he tried to play through any injury and that didn't work out so well. That's stupid. 1. He doesn't decide if he plays out not ultimately. 2. One of those games he scored 3 TDs to help the team win. 3. The team won the 2 games he was most hurt in, mostly because he caught 3 TDs in one of those. They weren't going to win the GB game regardless without a defensive stop.
  12. For some reason, Im not even that upset. I probably should be since odds are this team will be 3-6 soon. But my Cubs like ambivalence is setting in.
  13. Ugh. The Rams pulled off the old Bears fake punt return that got wrongly called back vs the Packers years ago.
  14. Could easily be 40-0. The Bears have been that bad.
  15. Our defense made a play. By our defense I mean Ratliff.
  16. Lol. 12-12 passing. Of course he hasn't thrown anything over 2 yards.
  17. Cutler u have 2 feet. Use both to throw.
  18. Throw to a blocking WR while a other WR blocks for him.
  19. 3rd and 2. Off coverage. Throw a 2-yard route.
  20. Nobody blocked anybody.
  21. They're exploiting a group of LBs that shouldn't be on the field.
  22. Eh. Take the yard and stay on the field.
  23. Week 1. Nice to have 3 players that matter inactive rather than 7
