  1. Brewer is a career 23.4% shooter from 3. About 26% the last 2 years. So, yeah...he should never ever shoot a 3 unless the team refines his form. But he is a career 52% shooter from the field (about 55% from 2pt) which means he can fill and finish with just about anyone his size. I think he compliments Rose on the wing moreso than anyone the Bulls have had. Plays strong D, passes well and willingly, and cuts well without the ball. A welcomed addition to a team that's been playing with 2Gs that are unable or unwilling to cut to the hoop and can take the lead on the break (w/ Rose finishing). The Bulls are a backcourt shooter away from being a really, really good team.
  2. Marmol is better than a lot of other pitchers.
  3. Blanton is 3-5 with a 6.41 ERA and 1.51 WHIP. Lilly is 3-8, with a 4.08 ERA and 1.15 WHIP.
  4. Wow. My co-worker sent me that link, I didn't even look at the date.
  5. http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2009/12/braves-interested-in-marlon-byrd.html It is MLB Trade Rumors, but my Braves fan co-worker said he's heard it in Braves circles also. I doubt the Cubs trade Byrd though. He's hitting the ball well, seems to be a clubhouse favorite, is playing much better defense than anticipated, and is relatively cheap for 2 1/2 more years.
  6. I'm still holding out hope that that report is false. I don't know why Orlando would pay him that much money. But oh well. Best shooters out there look to be Roger Mason Jr (33% last year, but 41% the year prior with more minutes and 38% career 3pt shooter) and Keith Bogans both from San Antonio, unless you go for Eddie House, who doesn't really interest me at only 6'1".
  7. I was offered Roy Halladay for Josh Hamilton. Top scoring pitcher for 3rd highest scoring hitter. This a keeper league and Josh Hamilton is eligible to be kept next year and would possibly be the league's best keeper while Halladay is not able to be kept.
  8. Drop: Grady Sizemore Add: Carlos Gonzalez
  9. They have a 7th from the Rams for Kevin Payne though. Well worth the risk, IMO.
  10. Philadelphia (47-40) at Chicago (39-50). Not sure what channel this is even on. Moyer 9-8, 4.51 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and AGE vs. Dempster 7-7, 3.61 ERA, 1.20 WHIP
  11. But all things weren't equal. Cleveland had the best player in the game. And they still couldn't get anyone to play there. If all these vets are (supposedly) willing to play for peanuts in Miami, why wouldn't they do the same to play in Cleveland? Rhetorical question, BTW Why rhetorical? I think that's a simple question to answer. First of all, the vets that are going to Miami to play or talked about going are all mediocre role players (Miller, Ilgauskas, Fisher) Cleveland had plenty of those. Secondly, the recent FA classes were seriously weak and full of mediocre role players, not stars that could come in and take pressure off Lebron. Third, on paper, Cleveland offered much less of a guarantee of a championship than Miami does right now.
  12. really? I don't think that's true. John Holmes has the biggest boner ever Someone needs to watch some Blacks on Blondes.
  13. When I first watched the NFL show he did on Sunday nights, I did not mind it. But I was probably 17 years old at the time. He has been this bad in baseball events for as long as I can remember him doing them. He's only annoyed me on that show in the last 3-4 years or so. Tom Jackson went downhill around the same time too.
  14. He's always been the same. But I think it was more tolerable back in the day because his material was new and we enjoyed it more because we were younger. I don't know a single person that actually likes him anymore.
  15. I'm not sure if Callis is aware that Archer's so called inconsistent command has been getting more consistent every year. 2008 - 115.1 IP, 106 K/84 BB 2009 - 109 IP, 119 K/66 BB 2010 - 84.1 IP, 92 K/33 BB he may not be, but 33 BB in 84 IP is not really that great. certainly the big strides are something to be excited about. 33 BB in 84 innings, isn't pinpoint control, but it's pretty solid. That's 3.5 BB/9, which is better than the current major league average (I believe). If Archer is going to put up a 3.5 BB/9 in his career and combine that with a 9.8 K/9 and near 1.5 GB/FB ratio that he has right now, he will be a near elite major league pitcher.
  16. Works for me. There's a reason those guys were drafted 2nd overall. They are both low-risk, high-reward players...assuming you don't have to give up a ton for them. If Rudy can push the right buttons with these two, the Cubs can get a couple of guys who projected to be middle of the order bats and are just 25 and 26 years old.
  17. Hopefully it wouldn't be Lancaster. There's a reason teams keep leaving; their stadium is murder on pitchers. Sucks for those people who got D-Cubs tattoos in order to get lifetime season tickets. I think it would be a welcomed change, for the reasons stated in the 2nd paragraph.
  18. I don't know. I wouldn't be surprised if Hendry wants to bring him back on a 1-2 year deal. Of course, that can still be done if they trade him this year, but something tells me that won't happen. That being said, if it does, I wouldn't get too upset. Not sure w/ the Rangers money situation, but they have shown willingness to trade this season. I'd take next to nothing for Lee.
  19. Never said it was my opinion.
  20. I never claimed it was possible to prove. Nobody knows what Pippen would have been like if Jordan didn't exist, or if Pippen played in Seattle. Kinda sucks for Scottie.
  21. By not reading into things that weren't stated? I never said Pippen wasn't good. But would he have been an elite player without Jordan on his team? http://www.basketball-reference.com/teams/CHI/1994.html Was 1994 before or after Pippen had already played with Jordan? I wasn't saying Pippen wouldn't have been elite, but 1994 doesn't prove that side wrong because he had already been with Jordan before that season.

  23. Not pissed at him for his decision. He just took the punk way out. He wanted championships, fame, and legacy (basically his own admission at one time or another). He potentially threw away 2 of them just for championships. Had every right to choose what he did, not pissed about it at all. Just pointing out I think he is a punk for making that choice.
  24. Man, most people are really stupid. Yeah, you're proving that. Reason: Absuive >> This post contained abusive material LOL. I'm sorry. I actually didn't mean it like that. I meant it sarcastically. Edit: as in you weren't really making a point in this thread.
