  1. Are you effin serious? C'mon Forte!
  2. If teams were smart, they'd always kick to Hester. That happens more than TDs do.
  3. To be fair, that was a sick move by McCoy. Urlacher was out of position on every play that drive. Good play calls to get an OL on him.
  4. Spelled Hester wrong.
  5. his forward progress was stopped while he was in bounds True, but that's a silly rule. Only counts out of bounds if you go out on purpose? It wouldn't be silly if he was right at the first down marker and was thrown backward out of bounds. Not trying to be a smart ass, just trying to point out why it's in place. Makes sense.

  7. he tends to throw the ball like that a lot, he gets on top of the ball. It just seems like they're all like that tonight. Maybe he's just amped? I don't know. that one to sanzenbacher was ugly, but the other throws haven't looked completely abnormal for him. Yeah, he does get on top of the ball a lot and a lot of his throws look like that. He's only really missed 2 throws. A couple more were bad decisions, and actually 2 of those got completed.
  8. How the hell was Celek ruled in bounds?
  9. Watching pregame shows, apparently the Eagles are the only team allowed to play offense tonight. Bears gotta stop the Eagles. No mention of stopping the NFL leader in yards from scrimmage and a QB that threw for 4 TDs against them last year.
  10. Why is Jackson being thrown into every trade? I understand good young pitching is hard to come by, but the Cubs don't have a lot of up and coming bats in the system as it is. Plus, he's a high OBP player like Theo seems to like. Seems like one of the last guys we should trade.
  11. This is the truest thing ever written on this message board
  12. He has IU picked to finish 18-13 overall, 8-10 in conference. I'd certainly take that record! Heck yeah!
  13. What are Dave Martinez's qualifications? I know he's been bench coach for Tampa, but I have no idea what a bench coach does. I did have an irrational love for Davey as a player though, even after the left the Cubs.
  14. I traded Gore and Demaryius Thomas for Dez Bryant and Green-Ellis. Then I traded Green-Ellis, AJ Green, and Ryan Fitzpatrick for MJD and Mike Williams (Tampa). I think I'm ok with it. Vick McCoy Jones Drew Bryant M Williams Marshall
  15. A big part of passer rating is YPA. Yards per attempt obviously goes up if you complete 10-19 yard passes. I think YPA has more of an effect on QB rating than completion % actually. true, completion% alone would have made more sense to illustrate the point, that he's against type in that respect Brady (0-9 yds): 73.2% (10-19 yds): 62.3% Brees (0-9 yds): 75.5% (10-19 yds): 59.0% Rodgers (0-9 yds): 80.2% (10-19 yds): 64.4% Cutler (0-9 yds): 60.5% (10-19 yds): 66.0% What I get from this. Cutler sucks at short throws. Aaron Rodgers is amazing at all throws.

  17. Obviously, 1-3 is possible. But the Bears at home in November vs. a dome team and a warm weather team should give them the advantage there. Playing Philly after the bye should help ease any advantage Philly has by being at home. Oh and the Bears are at least as good as every one of those teams, and better than Philly.
  18. Are you in Pittsburgh? You have to go to a game, especially with a great team around. Yeah, I'm pretty sure I'm going when the Blackhawks are in town December 23rd or something like that. New arena too, so that should make it even better.
  19. Harris seemed surprised by the cut on Twitter/Facebook. If Wright goes down again, Craig Steltz appears to be in-line for starts. That's not good. Hopefully, the Bears bring in a veteran S to help next year, as I really don't want to spend another early pick on a S...with the help needed at OL, WR, and elsewhere on the D (CB, LB, DE specifically).
  20. My bucket list isn't that long. - Cubs World Series game (don't care if I'm in the stadium, just want to be on Waveland, Sheffield, Clark or Addison while a game is going on) - Super Bowl (would rather NOT go to a live SB with the Bears playing as I'd imagine there are too many rich yuppy non-fans that would piss me off if the Bears are losing) - Any NHL game (not big on most lists, but I'm black and about .000005% of us have ever gone to a hockey game) - Every MLB stadium (football stadiums and basketball arenas aren't really unique. Seen one, seen most) - US Olympic soccer game - Attend the Rose Bowl
  21. I have been offered Stevie Johnson and Santonio Holmes for Frank Gore in a PPR league. We start QB, RB, WR, WR, RB/WR, WR/TE, K, DEF. My lineup would go from: Vick McCoy Gore AJ Green Marshall Harvin to Vick McCoy S Johnson Marshall AJ Green Holmes Thoughts?
  22. The Bears are going to use their 4 days as a wraparound long weekend. They'll be off from Friday-Monday. I think that's probably the best way to go, because it best keeps a "game week" schedule intact. Cool. Been looking for that info all day. I did read that they are practicing today, so I assumed it was something like that. I think I like that idea better.
  23. Interesting stat. So, far teams coming off their bye week are 2-10. Historically, teams are pretty good off the bye. But this year, the NFL CBA has mandated 4 consecutive days off for teams on their bye. It's hard to say if this has been a factor so far as the teams that have had bye weeks so far are a combined 28-44, and all but 3 of those games after bye weeks have come on the road. The teams to host HOME games after the bye have been Washington, Tennessee, and Arizona, who all lost. Washington lost to a losing Philly team, but Ten and AZ lost to future playoff teams Houston and Pittsburgh. A lot of good teams had byes last week (as evidenced by my desolate fantasy team), so it will be interesting to see what happens this Sunday/Monday.
  24. Agreed. If the Bears do split, I'd prefer to take the Detroit game, as to make both wildcard spots attainable, though that would mean the winner of Philly/Dallas would be back into the NFC race too. Like to think coming off the bye the Bears will win in Philly. Also, would like to think that the Detroit momentum is gone and if Stafford has to miss this week, that he'll be a little rusty with 3 weeks off (bye week for Detroit after this Sunday) making that game very winnable. Couldn't hope for much better at this point. The Bears took advantage of the home opener hype vs. the Falcons and took all the punches in NO's home opener and the biggest game for the Lions in a decade. Every other game should pale in comparison to those games.
  25. Not really. Bears kept in a RB more than usual, but the TE usually was out in the route. If the Bears went double TE, they ran. If not, they usually passed.
