  1. Take that Casey! Bitch slapped him.
  2. Carimi not on the field. Looks like Spencer at RG.
  3. http://www.vipbox.tv/american-football/110851/1/green-bay-packers-vs-chicago-bears-live-stream-online.html
  4. WE shoulda had the timeout.
  5. Bears inactives are the Bears 3rd QB, McCown and all others are key players. Starters: Urlacher, Jennings, Melton. Top backups on both sides: Bennett and McClellin. And would be starter: Geno Hayes. Blake Costanzo starts at SLB (Bears will play a lot of nickel anyway) Israel Idonije starts at DT.
  6. Bears are wearing the 40s throwbacks today. They wore these uniforms the last time they beat the Packers. Week 3 of the 2010 season.
  7. Yeah, Butler isn't the type of team you can just go in and win based on talent. You gotta be disciplined against them. IU didn't go to Zeller consistently. Didn't get Oladipo, Watford, or Hulls moving enough on offense. Didn't continue to apply pressure on D when it helped them make the comeback in regulation. And as I said yesterday, Crean let Butler dictate the matchups. They had all their bigs foul out and Crean was stupid enough to match them on defense. Watford and Zeller are completely capable of staying with a wing player. And the biggest player on the floor was Khyle Marshall, who hangs out more toward the paint anyway. They'll still be fine. Probably fall to about #5 or 6. Should be able to get Perea and Elston worked into some meaningless games before the conference season starts. By the time they get tested again, they should be able to establish a rotation with the bigs. They are a road win at Iowa and a home win vs. Minnesota away from another 9 game winning streak starting Wednesday.
  8. Not trading for him. But love to sign him when it gets to that point.
  9. Belinelli runs circles around Korver. I was way wrong assuming they were similar players. Teague is going to be a solid trade chip. I think a package of Teague, Mirotic, the Charlotte pick ailing with a player to balance the money can get Love. Maybe won't need all those young players if they take Noah or Deng and Taj as a combo.
  10. Like I said on my blog, the Bears aren't going to win this game but I would like to see some positives come out of this game instead of the typical "throw the film away" type game the Bears have had on offense against GB recently. 1. Keep moving the ball offensively. Almost 800 yards of offense has been lost in the last 2 games. Keep running the ball. Keep involving Forte, Hester and Jeffery in the passing game just enough. Keep moving the pocket. Keep moving Brandon Marshall around. 2. With Jennings, Urlacher and Melton out someone needs to step up on D. The guy I'm looking for today has been quiet all year but has had some solid games vs GB. JULIUS PEPPERS! He needs to get pressure on a below average OL. 3. Take some chances. The Bears have played GB conservatively every time they've played them. I want to see some outside the box stuff today. Play like your season depends on this game. I'd like to see them make something happen on special teams. Go after a punt like they did in Tenn. And I'll always remember the crazy fake out on the punt return a couple years ago that got called back. That could still work. They beat the Bears on a fake FG. Give it back to them. Blitz Rodgers a little. Nelson is out and he really is the tough matchup down the field. Really nothing to lose. Still can get in the playoffs with a loss and a little help.
  11. Bryant, Boldin. If Dez is out, go Hilton/Bush in a toss-up.
  12. Because Crean wanted to match up small. You never play without a big in a tie game late if u are capable of having one on the floor. The winning basket was exactly why. Need a big help defender at the rim to alter the shot.
  13. They deserved to win that. Crean sucks at coaching fwiw.
  14. Feel even a little bit dirty about the way this was gift wrapped? Yeah a little. Not over yet though.
  15. From what I understand he had all the signs of needing TJS, but just rested it and never had the surgery. He came back to pitch last year toward the end of the season.
  16. Gore.
  17. Gose looks to Be in the deal too.
  18. Just like to point out that Casey Hayward was my favorite CB in the draft last year and he's been the top rookie CB in the league this year.
  19. Johnson Underwood Lake Johnson will have the best season of the unproven starters, IMO. Underwood has the high upside. Lake will be in the majors at some point this year and I wouldn't be surprised if he hits some, probably even hit as much as we expect from Vitters.
  20. Both have potential to be shootouts with poor pass defenses all around. I'd go Ryan, because he's frankly, better.
  21. Posted my game preview if anyone cares.
  22. i dont know the contract situation, but is this guy on the team next year? always hurt. He's been a bum since the contract extension Wasn't that good before it. But he's not even a reliable #3 anymore. Would be best if the team found another WR better than him.
  23. I'm having a really hard time putting any of the pitchers that have barely thrown at the pro level (and didn't have knockout results in the few innings they did pitch) ahead of guys that have a floor of at least reaching the majors. I get the upside argument, but Lake's more likely to be a great MLB third baseman than Underwood a #1 or #2 pitcher at this point. Then why Almora #2? I voted for the same 3 as Raisin. For pretty much the same reasons. Because even high school position players are much more predictable than young pitchers. True. Just playing devil's advocate. And part of me admittedly doesn't want to rank Vitters and Lake too high because they've been around for a while and I have more hope for the system if the new guys coming in are "better". Though, Lake is making a strong case for top 10 in winter ball and with his newfound position flexibility.
