  1. TAZER! HUGE GOAL
  2. I read that as Seabrook's Chelios
  3. FWIW, Fluker, Watson, and Pugh are 3 of the next 4 picks after Patterson in that mock. pugh is like a third round talent. Watson is late 2nd round talent at best also.
  4. FWIW, Fluker, Watson, and Pugh are 3 of the next 4 picks after Patterson in that mock. Wow... Does he really think that 8 OLs will be pick in the top 25? I would think Bears would value Austin more (speed/playmaking/body of work) than Patterson, but I agree that if he's there, you take him. Patterson was also impressive in the return game and also had some carries at RB. Patterson can do everything Austin can do but is bigger doing it. Needs work on route running, but he's a rawer version of Julio Jones. Patterson would be a steal at 20. I think Buffalo takes him at 8, unless Geno Smith is on the board.
  5. So DRose is going to play anytime between today and next year. Got it.
  6. This is the only loss where I didn't even imagine a loss could happen before the game started. Couldn't have picked a better script. Senior night for maybe the most important senior class in school history. Also potentially the final game for the biggest recruiting win in the school's history. A win would have given them a conference title, 20 years after their last outright title. It would have likely sealed up a first tourney weekend in nearby Dayton, OH. It would have sealed up basically a home game for the NCAA regionals. Have to win this game. Now face going into the post season losing 3 of 4 games after losing just 3 games to that point all season. Lose at Michigan and don't win the B1G tourney and they'll go from #1 overall seed to possibly a 2 seed.
  7. Not that it matters, but how do you not call a foul when the team is intentionally trying to commit a foul.
  8. [expletive]! This would be a terrible loss. Senior night, chance to win your first conference title in 20 years. No excuse for losing this one.
  9. I wouldn't mind Cook. He is however, a horrible blocker. The Bears have to address OL or TE in free agency which would open up their draft possibilities. If we were to sign Cook, we could go for a Tavon Austin or Ogletree if a true LT doesn't fall to us at 20. Need to address OL in FA and the draft. Rather spend money on OT or OG than a high priced TE because probably not gonna be able to do both.
  10. I think I've been Houston in the past. I'm down for whatever though.
  11. I can't text the next person. On my way home from work. If someone could if needed.
  12. I like the idea of Austin, but as you point out, that means you really have to hit OL hard in free agency. Honestly, OL help needs to be added in FA no matter how you slice it. The Bears aren't likely to get a sure upgrade at 20 on the OL unless Jonathan Cooper is still on the board. Joeckel, Fisher, and Johnson will be gone. Warmack will be gone. And I like Fluker, but he has questions in pass pro and is only a RT (unless they think outside the box and put him at LG), either way that means Webb is still at LT. Any of the top OL worth trading up to get? I think most mocks have Johnson gone by the time you get the Chargers at 11, so you'd have to get into the top 10, and I have no idea how much that would cost, or if it'd be worth it. I'd trade up for Johnson if he got past the Chargers. Wouldn't trade into the top 10 though. If he gets past SD, gotta get in front of St Louis to get him. It's a lot easier to trade from 20 to 15 than 20 to 10.

  14. I'm really starting to like the idea of going after a big time offensive weapon for Jay in the 1st. Tavon Austin would add such a dynamic piece to the offense, and Trestman is supposed to be a wide-open offensive guy. Getting a WR like Austin would lessen the need for TE, which isn't as important to the passing game anyway. Then go OL in the 2nd. Of course, that strategy is dependent on getting a major piece for the OL in free agency.
  15. Is there any way to get a star without giving Noah or Butler?
  16. So Nasr Muhammad apparently can play.
  17. Always has been my national player of the year. No reason that should change.
  18. Gary Harris didn't know what to do with the ball! And IU clinches at least part of the B1G regular season title! Always knew Harris would play a part in an IU conference title.
  19. How the hell do you let that dude get the ball wit 8 seconds left?
  20. WHAT A FREAKING PLAY BY TREY BURKE!
  21. Seems like Columbus has played them the toughest. But it'll be hard to beat a team twice in a row...as this is about at the "everybody's best game" phase of the streak.
  22. Just think that's a foul. if they would have called the interior hacking Iowa was doing inside. 27-25 foul calls. Like 90% of IUs were away from the ball. You can't be [expletive] serious. Every single foul called was a legit foul. U guys were hacking like crazy. Oh my God. The inbounds play where Hulls grabbed Ingram's arm and held it to draw the foul was legit? Oh and I loved Zeller diving and taking out Clemmons' legs and then getting praised for an incredible hustle play when the 37 replays they showed of it showed what a clear foul it was. Anyways, IU was better and I'm not trying to make it like the officiating decided the game. But IU was just as physical if not more. That Hulls play was one call that wasn't legit. He does that all the time and gets that call. Guess that's what u do when u are small and slow and cant get open. But yeah that's a foul. As for the Zeller play, a foul coulda been called but I thought he got the ball before the legs and hustle like that is usually rewarded especially from a star.
