  1. Bottom of the 1st in Houston. No score, but Pence just hit a leadoff single.
  2. Does anyone know why the Cardinals brought Mitchell Boggs in for an inning of relief in tonight's game? I thought he was supposed to take Parisi's spot in the rotation.
  3. I haven't paid any attention to how he's doing in other categories, but his batting average has fallen down to .307. That's still very good, but it's nowhere near where he was earlier in the season. Granted, it's a very small sample size, but he's only OPSing .492 in June.
  4. We just had a tornado warning here. No actual sighting though.
  5. Call me crazy, but I wish people would just speak English on message boards.
  6. FTFY God... Even THAT has an acronym? What the heck does it even stand for? Fixed That For You Also, this late start time is insane. What's wrong with just using "Fixed."?
  7. FTFY God... Even THAT has an acronym? What the heck does it even stand for?
  8. I think you mean the Macarena.
  9. I thought I read somewhere that Kemp was suspended for 4 games, and the thought was he wasn't going to appeal. Has there been a change? He's appealing it. The link has already been posted in this thread.
  10. Who the hell are Matt Worrell and Mike Parisi?
  11. Nah they've hated us for awhile due to the road nature of their games against us at Miller. Cub fans are hated by a lot of people for this reason. That wouldn't happen if the other teams could fill their ballparks with their own fans.
  12. Actually, the most games they could gain is 1.5.
  13. I don't really have a second favorite team, but there are several teams I'll root for if they make it to the playoffs and the Cubs don't. I was rooting hard for the Red Sox in 2004, but I don't think I could ever root for them again for some reason.
  14. I was born in '89, so I know the Cubs didn't run away with anything in '98, '03, or '07. Did the Cubs even come close to running away with anything in '84 and '89? Just curious.
  15. Yeah, but I'd still prefer that they lose once in a while.
  16. Brewers up 4-1 over the D'Backs in the 3rd and have the bases loaded with 1 out.
  17. If I were king, people with two first names would be executed. What about people with two last names? I know someone like that.
  18. Maybe? Thanks? Sort of? But mostly no? I'm Ron Burgundy?
  19. I don't have an account, but I saw something that peaked my curiosity. Does anyone know if anything like that has ever happened? Two teams clinching the division and wild card while playing a series against each other. That would be kind of neat.
  20. Well, if the Cubs were playing to their pythag record, then the Cards would be farther back.
  21. ....what? Is this missing green font or something? I think he means the Cubs are underachieving because their pythagorean record is better than their actual record.
  22. Ask Pete Rose. Believe me I tried...he wont answer...signing balls in Cooperstown or something...HA He sucks. Been in the bullpen, starting now due to injuries. Padres win 4-1, Baek allows 1 run on 4 hits in 7 2/3. I think you quoted the wrong post. Eh, I was answering his original about the Padres pitcher. Guess I coulda left out the other post or two. Ah. Gotcha.
