  1. What the hell? That doesn't make any sense. I kind of understand the idea of fitting Izturius to theoretically give Guzman some better defense to back him up, but DeRosa in RF instead of Murton or Jacque or Floyd deprives him of some decent offensive support. I hope this isn't actually the lineup. Is Murton in CF? If not I hope that Bruce or another beat writer will give us the real scoop on the situation. Is he hurt? Is he in Lou's doghouse? I highly doubt that Murton will ever start in CF. Floyd's back must still be bothering him if he's not in RF. As far as why no Jacque with Pie in center ... :? Murton has played 1 game in CF so far this season. Edit: Nevermind. That was only 1 inning.
  2. Go me! I'm overdue for a good game!
  3. Yup... The Cubs are still only 4 games back in the loss column (and have played 2 fewer games than MIL). Cincy is down 6-5 to COL after 6. No shutdown pitching for either team. Thom Brennaman has been NLC scoreboard watching throughout the game. They're 5 games back. Read the bold part. The Cubs have lost 14 games. The Brewers have lost 10.
  4. Don't let the Cubs see that. They'll go up there hacking at every pitch tomorrow.
  5. No one in the world is more impressed by Floyd right now than the Pirates Parrot. That was hilarious.
  6. Broussard homers to end the perfect game, no-hitter, and shutout.
  7. Didn't Randy Johnson throw a perfect game against the Braves in '04?
  8. Make sure you direct that to the hitters. It's fixed.
  9. Why would you even want to watch the White Sox? :?
  10. Dear Cubs, Taking walks obviously leads to runs. Please keep doing it. Thank you.
  11. Pat said B.J. Upton was hitting .386. and too think it only took him a decade to get playing time in TB. That organization isn't very smart, is it?
  12. Pat said B.J. Upton was hitting .386.
  13. Wow. If that pitch was really that high, how the hell was Theriot able to bunt it?
  14. hopefully this is a wake up call, and we get some runs in the top of the 9th. The game's at Wrigley.
  15. needs to get his act together. He did last time. I must've missed that.
  16. needs to get his act together.
  17. we still haven't resigned him yet... good or bad? Ask me again at the end of the season. that's too easy. I like it that way. :P
