  1. I'll be up there with some friends, we think. I'll know more in a day or two. Definately send me your number.
  2. heck yeah, im here too! Can t wait for that 3rd out!
  3. I'm at work and I am giving 100% (towards reading and catching up on things I've missed on here).
  4. Sweet Jeebus  This makes it unbelievably tempting to reduce the number of people I'm bringing down to one, then selling off the other two to pay for my plane ticket and two days' worth of beer. Those prices will only go up as the cubs clinch and we find out who they play and when.
  5. Front row bleachers? Do you have any kids you'd like to put through college on those tickets? I do have 2 kids so that is an option that we are looking into... :)
  6. I am going to game 3! Front row bleachers, in LC! And to boot, we have 4 more bleacher tix to game 4, that will probably be selling pretty soon, paying for our other tix and the trip! I love the cubs! Oh and one more behind home plate that will be selling. :D
  7. Gotta be Cedeno Not if they want a backup SS on the roster. Patterson is the most redundent. They have 4 others capable of playing 2B and many others capable of playing LF. Does EPatt play Short? Also you forgot about DeRo, he plays short and I doubt you need more than one backup. DeRosa is not really a shortstop. I said he could play short. Well, you said "he plays short", not "could play". Sure, he could play in an emergency. But my guess is they'd prefer a legit backup SS. They only need to make it through the end of August, then they could bring another SS up to help out. I wouldn't imagine too many off days for Theriot between now and then.
  8. .176 BA .235 SLG .211 OBP .446 OPS She's a beaut, Clark. wow, that is just not good. He's got to blindfolded for most of those at bats.
  9. anybody have Kendall's stats against LHP? Im sure they are here but I can't search much being at work
  10. yep.. the ball is sinking right into the left field stands. :)
  11. I agree with all of you. I wouldnt trade marmol either. I think the kid is the best pitcher we have in the pen. I was more looking at the fact they had us associated with a trade for Hernandez. I don't think he is worth the money it would take or the talent and I kinda like the catchers we have right now. They are not all stars but they are serviceable and cheap.
  12. Wasnt sure if this was the appropriate place but I was reading on rotoworld and thought I'd pass along. This is not a rumor, just something rotoworld mentioned. Ramon Hernandez (Orioles) - 07: $6.5 million, 08-09: $15.5 million, 10: $8.5 million option The Orioles don't need to dump salary and first-round pick Matt Wieters is at least two years away, so there's no pressing need to move Hernandez. Still, if the right offer comes along, there'd be no reason not to consider it, especially since there will be a strong crop of catchers available this winter. Hernandez would be a big upgrade for the Cubs, Rockies or Diamondbacks. If the Cubs would part with Carlos Marmol and a lesser pitching prospect, they could get a deal done
  13. at least it's the bottom 3rd of the order
  14. that is one of the funniest things I have ever heard..
  15. I also might point that you position players based on how you are going to pitch them. I would assume with delgado you wouldn't anticipate coming in on him unless it's way in. If he pulls a pitch on the outside part of the plate odds are he doesn't pull it all the way into the hole. He may even try to take it back towards the middle. Lack of execution, poor positioning.. its all hindsight. If Dempster doesnt pitch so poorly to the bottom part of the order, this isnt even a discussion.
  16. I watched the game, he was throwing 99 mph in the 8th with little to no effort. His delivery is about as smooth as I have seen in someone who throws so hard. They said on ESPN that he was averging 97mph for his fastballs on the night. It was an amazing performance.
  17. with aram not playing I wouldnt be suprised to see Floyd today. Especially after the way Murton looked against Harang last time out.
  18. They are on sale on the Brewers website and they are $10 per seat.
  19. Where did you find this and do you know where they go on sale at?
  20. me and my buddies are going to go. We are going up after the cubs game tuesday to see it, maybe wednesday too!
  21. He looks like the kid from hardball "I love it when they call me Big Poppa"
  22. sent you one back
  23. Good blog.. it's nice to be able to read about everything in pretty much one place. Im sure my work will be in favor of it as I wont be spending near as much time searching!
