  1. I just found this thread. Has no idea the pic was on here when I made it my sig. I will now change it.
  2. USC is back on top in the BCS. Big suprise. Texas, VT, Bama, then UCLA round out the top five. Miami is 6th. Gonna be a great game this weekend with VT.
  3. In all fairness, should UCLA get too much respect considering they had to come back from down 21 against a team that lost to UC Davis earlier this year? ND moved up to 8 with absolutely no one left on the schedule who can beat the Irish if they play even half as good as they can, so a BCS berth is all but a certainty. Stanford is not the same team that lost to UC Davis. Harris is getting that team to play pretty good. He also had a few bad losses when he first got to Pitt, but he turned that around quickly as well. He runs a complicated system that is not easy to learn. I am actually worried about ND going out there at the end of the year.
  4. TD BEARS!!!!! Great catch by Moose!
  5. The new USA Today Poll 1. USC (56) 8-0 1,544 2. Texas (5) 8-0 1,485 3. Virginia Tech (1) 8-0 1,431 4. Alabama 8-0 1,349 5. Miami 6-1 1,285 6. LSU 6-1 1,215 7. UCLA 8-0 1,200 8. Florida State 7-1 1,060 9. Notre Dame 5-2 988 10. Georgia 7-1 966 11. Penn State 8-1 927 12. Ohio State 6-2 827 13. Oregon 7-1 782 14. Wisconsin 8-1 739 15. Florida 6-2 648 16. West Virginia 6-1 597 17. Texas Tech 7-1 596 18. Auburn 6-2 514 19. Boston College 6-2 455 20. TCU 8-1 398 21. California 6-2 327 22. Fresno State 6-1 248 23. Michigan 6-3 178 24. Colorado 6-2 121 25. Louisville 5-2 113
  6. But they don't have R. Williams or Rogers. Bly is out at well. I am real upset that TV times changes this week. I will miss most of the game due to work.
  7. Go ahead and talk about it now. i was over on the Michgan side (sec 110) and the Michigan fans around me were freely admitting it. Missed the game. What happened in this game that was examples of Michigan getting calls--again.
  8. If May said it, it must be true! :D
  9. UNC WR drops a wideopen TD
  10. That would be great if Wisconsin lost. Plus I have money on Illinois so hopefully they atl east cover.
  11. And could UNC be able to upset the 'Canes again this year?
  12. OSU and Minn are tied
  13. That is good, but pointless. Weis said many, many times he was not going to leave ND till his kid was done with college, and the story broke from a UM grad who works for NFL.com. He admitted this week he made it up, and there was no substance behind it. Anyone know what is going on with Miami's uniforms? I can't even tell what is on the helmet.
  14. That was great. My favorite part: Also like the Todd Zeile participation award.
  15. Yeah, I was a little disappointed in that. Rocket's career was unfortunately derailed by injuries. I remember a brief period in the late 90's where he played for my Carolina Panthers and he was my favorite player in the world. My first college football memories are of the Rocket. Rockets career was above average IMO. Not the best but nothing to scoff at. He did tear up the Canadian league as well. Nothing close to his college career though. I will never forget the two KO returns against scUM. One of the best ND memories I have. I still have the SI that has a few page layout on the phantom clipping call. I still get pissed anytime I hear about it. Also have the SI with Rocket posing with a ND helmet with a $ sign.
  16. I keep myself busy by figuring out which scenerios help ND and then rooting for those teams. Go VT and Cal! I bit dorkish, but it makes the bye weeks go by a lot better. If ND wins out they should definately be in a BCS game. With the teams ahead of them having the schedules they do, I think it is impossible for ND to not make it...as long as they don't lose. Perhaps this should be moved to the ND thread. Sorry I can't help myself sometimes.
  17. I have no idea.
  18. That's what I was thinking. Wouldn't it be ironic if USC got bounced out by the BCS? That would be 2 out of 3 years. Also, what if UCLA wins out? I really wish they had a 4 team playoff this year if 4 are undefeated but if only 3 were we would have the same problem we have now. If UCLA wins out they could have a very legit chance. That would put USC out of it, and leave VT, Texas, UCLA, and possibly a SEC team undefeated. I don't think Texas is deserving of the title game. Hopefully TT and OSU will lose a few more games to help my theory along, but I think either USC/UCLA, VT, or any SEC team that is undefeated will deserve it much more than Texas. Maybe things will be so messed up again this year that a playoff will become much more appealing to those who don't want it.
  19. Does anyone think VT has a chance to jump into the top 2 spots? THey still have to play Miami, BC, and probably FSU in the ACC championship. With Texas playing no more ranked teams, and USC with 2 more ranked teams, I could see Texas falling back down very soon. If USC, VT, and TExas win out, I believe it should be VT and Texas in the BCS championship. HOwever if Georgia or Bama win out things will be very confusing. Is that possible for them both to win out, or do they play each other? I know the SEC gets pretty brutal for all ranked teams.
  20. But there is also a precedent for Selig taking control during the series-Arizona. Not that I agree...
  21. Today on ESPN Radio they said the Sox asked Selig to make the roof stay open, and Selig agreed it was a good idea. However the 'Stros can appeal it and by the time all the appeals go through the series will be over, so it doesn't matter anyway. To answer the original post I think Selig stepping in is crap. However I guess it was done in Arizona so there is a precedent. I just think it should always be applied, not just in the series.
  22. Texas is the new BCS # 1. Wow BCS Rankings 1. Texas 2. USC 3. Virginia Tech 4. Georgia 5. Alabama 6. UCLA 7. Miami 8. LSU 9. Penn State 10. Florida State 11. Oregon 12. Wisconsin 13. Ohio State 14. Boston College 15. Notre Dame 16. Texas Tech 17. West Virginia 18. TCU 19. Florida 20. Minnesota 21. Northwestern 22. Auburn 23. California 24. Colorado 25. Michigan
  23. Quinn also moved to 2nd on the all time passing yard list, right behind Powlus.
  24. I have never played in a NBA fantasy league before and don't really follow the NBA very much. I know a lot about a few teams, but as a whole it is probably the sport I am least knowledgeable in. I didn't do my draft live and this is who I got. Is my team decent, or should I try to improve it? M. Bibby (Sac - PG) R. Allen (Sea - SG) J. Howard (Dal - SG,SF) S. Abdur-Rahim (Sac - SF,PF) D. Nowitzki (Dal - PF) C. Bosh (Tor - PF) S. O'Neal (Mia - C) W. Szczerbiak (Min - SF) C. Paul (NOK - PG,SG) J. Tinsley (Ind - PG) B. Simmons (Mil - SG,SF) T. Chandler (Chi - PF) M. Miller (Mem - SG,SF)
  25. Thats hilarious.
