  1. Does it still count if you watch it on Mute and only look at Elizabeth Hasselbeck? That's not quite so bad...
  2. I think he's pitching fine. Are you Tony Larussa? I hope so.
  3. Cedeno is due... in fact he's been due since April.
  4. Soto rips a base hit, he's on fire!!!
  5. Yes, yes we should... Unfortunately, those usually seem to be the guys who shut us down.
  6. He's still playing it safe because of the quad strain. He would have to have been totally healthy and busting at full speed to make that a triple. Yeah, he didnt "admire" crap. He started jogging right away, he was just moving slowly. Not true, he basically started out walking and watching the ball, then started running.
  7. Soriano should have had a triple there if he wasn't admiring his warning track shot.
  8. Except that he has been completely all or nothing lately and is a horrible lead-off hitter. Soriano has had some huge home runs lately, but has been terrible in almost every other at bat.
  9. Not even close. He's been good as a closer. Tonight he was the only guy warm because it looked like a save situation. The constant Dempster bashing is irrational. he certainly hasnt been good lately 90% save %.
  10. I agree. I've never heard so many people unsatisfied with a 90% save percentage. Sure he has had some bad outings in non-save situations, but he's still one of the more consistent closers the Cubs have had in awhile.
  11. Wow, Lou not looking too happy there, but I'll take it!
  12. I know this is asking for way too much, but let's get Woody a win.
  13. Good job Eyre. It's nice to be able to say that without any hint of sarcasm.
  14. Gotta have those veterans down the stretch, dude. If only that veteran was Greg Maddux.
  15. Rivera has me worried, because I'm sure he's going to throw everything at Rex to put the pressure on him. I hope I'm wrong, but I think we're looking at about 2 interceptions and 1 fumbled snap. Is Olsen playing today?
  16. What exactly happened? I got home and the score was 6-2. Jones started the wrong direction on a ball to center, then dove and it got by him for a base-clearing triple with the runner thrown out at home going for an inside the park home run... although replays showed that his foot got in before the tag. So was it catchable? If he didn't run the wrong way, would it have been caught? Yes and yes.
  17. It doesn't help that Jacque is slumping with the bat again. Might as well see if Pie can get hot with the bat. That way we're at least guaranteed to get good defense. That moves Jones to right and then we lose Cliff Floyd's power bat. I'm not sure this team can survive that loss.
  18. What exactly happened? I got home and the score was 6-2. Jones started the wrong direction on a ball to center, then dove and it got by him for a base-clearing triple with the runner thrown out at home going for an inside the park home run... although replays showed that his foot got in before the tag.
  19. Soto should be playing more than Kendall is. He's become too much of a liability defensively. Why should Soto play? He is only better at every part of baseball. So true. That's good stuff right there. It is pretty much like when we played Lenny Harris over Mark Bellhorn everyday in '03. Egads. I had forgotten about the Lenny Harris Experiment. How dare you rip Lenny Harris?!? He's the all-time pinch hit leader!
  20. Jacque's misplay is now the difference in the game.
