Not only that, but when you are splitting hairs over minute differences in peripherals, I don't think it is crazy to give the award to the guy with 22 wins (vs. 18 or 19 for Greinke). Yes, we all know that pitcher wins don't mean a lot, but in this case I think they still count for "something." -
There's no way this Ballister guy is going to survive a 2nd inning, is there?

I guess I haven't followed the story closely enough, but none of this makes any sense to me and I'm not sure I even follow the implications of a rape kit being left on someone's doorstep. What exactly is the accusation here?

I get that a guy probably would like to to throw a complete game to finish his 20th win, but 120+ pitches here is an unnecessary risk. Save those bullets for the playoffs.

Tough loss, but I'm not sure I would have done anything different in the 8th and 9th. The Cardinals made the plays and things just didn't go the Cubs way this time. Now go catch Pittsburgh.
