    frankly, i'm surprised we scored 1. I was pretty sure this was a "score and shutdown" game. I mean, it pretty much still is, but.... The offense did its job today. This loss is on Marquis. A team should win the vast majority of the games in which it scores 5 runs.

    The Cubs shouldn't be giving anyone bases they haven't earned anyway. I think Andruw Jones should be rewarded with a free base considering his fine body of work against Marquis. Good point. I'd make an exception for Jones.
