Even if Lou intends to take him out why burn a pinch hitter? The near disaster at 2nd base would be one reason. Why is Lee still in there instead of Ward? Why isn't Patterson out there or Blanco? When you're up 9 in the bottom of the 7th, you can afford to have a reliever take an AB. Worrying about him running the bases seems a bit paranoid. I dont know...this is the cubs we're talking about.

Probably because it's 10-1. So it's not related to him fouling a ball off his shoulder earlier? probably has to do with that and the HBP earlier, but i doubt its anything serious.

I agree. I would say Johnson will be playing LF when Pie is in the lineup. I could even see Lou going with Fontenot at 2nd and DeRosa in LF for a while.
