  1. actually it was 251ft when they played there before. heres a picture from tonight http://cache1.asset-cache.net/xc/80429996.jpg?v=1&c=NewsMaker&k=2&d=17A4AD9FDB9CF1933B836CAF14D5D5C835DDDB99EE198D51E30A760B0D811297
  2. I think it was also about 35 ft. longer then too.
  3. mlb.tv unless you live in LA
  4. Anyone watching the Dodgers-BoSox at the LA Coliseum? It's only 201ft. down the left field line, which is shorter than the Little League World Series field in Williamsport.
  5. It does look a lot different with the new warning track. The outline of the infield and around the plate is quite a bit different as well.
  6. I was kind of wondering that too. I'd say we'll hear something about on Sunday when the Cubs have their workout.
  7. I agree with most everyone. If they're back, keep them limited to the road. No overkill like before.
  8. So now that Johnson is officially signed and Patterson in Iowa I guess the final bench spot is between Cintron, Fontenot and Cendeno. With Cedeno out of options, I'm guessing he gets the spot.
  9. Well heres my guess based on the latest info we've got... Pitchers Z Lilly Demp Hill Marquis Wood Marmol Howry Lieber Wuertz Hart Piggy/Marshall Catchers Soto Blanco Infielders Lee DeRosa Theriot Ramirez Ward Cedeno Fontenot Outfielders Soriano Pie Fukudome Murton I would've thought Patterson over Fontenot since he can play outfield, but Lou seemed to indicate Patterson was the odd man out. Still, I'd be suprised if Fontenot or Cedeno wasn't off this list and replaced with a back up CF acquired later this week.
  10. http://blogs.chicagosports.chicagotribune.com/sports_hardball/2008/03/eyre-experienci.html Looks like theres a good possibility of him starting on the DL
  11. I cant remember a proposed trade like this where all the parties involved seem to openly acknowledge and discuss the rumors. Pretty crazy. That said, either crap or get off the pot.
  12. For anyone interested, it seems as though the spring training games are archived for free on mlb.tv. http://mlb.mlb.com/mediacenter/index.jsp#20080310
  13. Apparently Lou thinks you can do such a thing as clog up the bases as well... http://chicago.cubs.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20080308&content_id=2413328&vkey=spt2008news&fext=.jsp&c_id=chc ](*,)
  14. None of those are working for me...when should the discount appear?
  15. That's correct. I think mlb.tv may have some spring games, but not Extra Innings. Today's game is actually on MLB.tv. I wish they would give you a free preview of it though, because it was terrible last year and I don't feel like wasting that much money again unless they improved it. Did you get regular MLB.tv or the MLB.tv premium? I got premium last year and was really happy with it. The quality is about twice as good as regular. I think for $5 extra a month its worth it.

  17. The Red Roof Inn on Ontario St. in the River North area is a good place to stay for the price. You're right around Michigan Ave. with good access to the CTA. I've always stayed there for $120-130 a night. The rooms are small but its always been clean for me.
  18. at least you guys arent in twice but unable to type the damn number of tickets you want. :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:
  19. Anyone know what could be wrong??? how many are you trying to get? i think the max is six. 4. theres literally no box to type a number into.
  20. got in twice, but theres no box to put in the number of tickets i want.
  21. couple of questions... I got 2 tickets to the 2nd NLCS game and chose print at home. If i decide to sell those, can i forward the email to whoever i sell them to for them to print, or do i have to print them out and mail them? Secondly, if the cubs make the world series, will the ticket sale be held the same way with the VWR? And how much more expensive would they be?
  22. whats Pie's deal with grabbin his junk all the time.
  23. looks like the rain is comin now....maybe 10-15 min. away
