    Big contract for Wells and hope he plays up to it just like I hope Soriano does for the Cubs. Hopefully tbe Blue Jay fans will go out and support their team a little bit more now.

    Unless Pie has a crazy spring training I hope management keeps him at Triple A atleast for half a season if not all of next year. Don't rush him and hurt his confidence.

    I don't think Theriot is a everyday player to be honest. He is more of a utility player that can give you 2-3 starts a week when needed and fill in at 2-3 positions. Sure he is a cheap player, but the Cubs can do better.

    He is a better option then Izturis for sure. I would rather see Jim Hendry go after a starting pitchers via free agency or trade right now then sign Lugo though.

    I'd love the contract if it were 3-4 years. 8 years is crazy

    I like the move, Cotts has good stuff, just fell apart the 2nd half of last season. Now the question that everyone is asking, is this deal done, or is it just a part of a future deal with Eyre or Ohman? I hope one of them does get moved with Jones for Westbrook and then sign Drew or Soriano. We can all hope :)

    Offer Drew a similar contract he walked away from with the Dodgers. He said he wasn't happy playing there and the owner said the same thing. Maybe Chicago would be a nice change of scenery for him.
