  1. I don't see why that would even happen. Cubs starters are fine. the bullpen blows and once he blows a few more saves something will be done.
  2. Right now you have got to keep Pagan in center. I don't care how long jacque sits on the bench and gets pissed. Jacque or Murton is traded sometime this season I'm pretty sure. I'm hoping it is Jacque
  3. well poop. I don't have a good feeling about this game now.
  4. I would't expect him in a cubs uniform this season.
  5. Not really a big deal to me. If players are going to want to drink, they will do it no matter what. Now they just can't do it in the clubhouse.
  6. When is all this train stuff supposed to be finished? I'm staying at the Hyatt Regency downtown in August for the Cards series and not sure if I should take the train or cab to the field. There will be 3 of us, going to two games.
  7. Izturis and Cedeno both need to go. Theriot and DeRosa up the middle please.
  8. It was nice knowing ya Mark for a few years atleast :(
  9. I was checking out the Rays on Extra Innings over the weekend as was suprised when I heard his name and that he had hit two home runs as well.
  10. I don't think we will be hearing good news about Prior or Wood for a long time.
  11. I can see Cedeno going down and Cherry being brought back up. Although nagging injuries to DeRosa and Ramirez coudl change that thinking. We are still stuck with Izturis at short and a crappy Wade Miller in the #5 spot. I would like a trade involving Jacque Jones and Wade Miller.
  12. I'm still a Corey fan. Was my favorite Cubs player when he was with us. Always a nice guy to talk to when the team was traveling etc.
  13. impressive pics. what camera and lense were you using?
  14. LOL that just made my morning right there.
  15. And for those that don't live near an L stop? Screw them right, I mean they can't possibly be Cubs fans right? Where did I mention a prairie? Soldier Field is close to the L, close the two highways, close to a major road for buses and cabs (LakeShore Drive). Have you ever tried to drive to or from a Bears game? It's a nightmare. Also Soldier field is not close to any L stops. It's a hike from the nearest one. Yes and it's close to the Roosevelt stop on the redline. Take a cab or walk from there. I have driven to Bears games, as well as taken the L and buses. I'll admit, none are perfect but at least they are options. With Wrigley, the only viable options are taking the L or driving and parking at a remote lot (which are free and have a free shuttle by the way which is fantastic). They tried to build a remote lot closer to the park and the neighborhood said "No". Buses and cabs are horrible after games. Has anyone here been to a game at BankOne? Or Safeco? Or Turner? All have very good access to public transportation. Not to mention all of the fan/family friendly aspects that I mentioned about the Cell, shorter lines, better statistics, better food, better walkways, better sight lines..... Those stadiums are alot newer as well. I love Wrigley how it is. THe nieghborhood is fun to hang out, or I shoudl say bars/stores across the sreets are :) Sure the Train is crowded after a game but it isn't that bad to get downtown where I usually stay.
  16. they grey's are ugly. I preferred the blue ones.
  17. Who are the early names that will be worth talking about buying the Cubs?
  18. lol eyre is a character when he is on the road. I seen him up late in Denver drinking captain/cokes one after another. Then the next morning complaining he was so tired in the hotel. Then what does he do in the game? Gives up a a few hits and a homer lol. Well hmm I wonder why!
  19. Why would we be looking at another infielder?
  20. I'll still have to have atleast one or two when I'm sitting in the bleachers.
  21. That is awesome. Dempster has always been easy to talk to when he has been in Denver. Of course that is his home also so it makes it a lil easier. He has a big white dodge he would pull up to the team hotel in.
  22. I'd hope that Guzman would be the fifth but I can see them giving it to Miller just to get his trade value up. Time will tell still plenty of time left in ST.
