Soriano, LF Johnson, CF Lee, 1B Ramirez, 3B DeRosa, 2B Soto, C Fukudome, RF Cedeno, SS Marshall, P Not really fond of Cedeno starting, but then again, I'm not really fond of Cedeno at all, and Riot needs a rest... Thanks Bruce
Before Saturday's GDT gets out of hand, let's bring the conversation here... The Cubs remaining schedule: 2 vs. PHI 3 vs. HOU off day 3 @ CIN off day 3 @ STL 3 @ HOU off day 3 vs. MIL 3 vs. STL 4 @ NYM 3 @ MIL The Brewers remaining schedule: 1 @ PIT 3 vs. NYM 4 vs. SD 3 vs. CIN 4 @ PHI off day 3 @ CHC 3 @ CIN off day 3 vs. PIT 3 vs. CHC While the Brewers clearly have an easier schedule, there's a point in mid-September where we can bury them pretty deep. Let's say we have a 4 game lead on them entering September 11th (Hopefully it's bigger than that). The Brewers are having a 4 game set at Philly, which will be their toughest non-Cub matchup the rest of the way. During that 4 game span, the Cubs are finishing with one in St. Louis and then go to Houston for 3. We should hopefully be able to pick up 2 games on them at least during that stretch. Then after a shared day off, the Cubs and Brewers have the 3 game set at Wrigley, where we could do some major damage, with only 10 to play for us after that, and 9 for Milwaukee.
The guy who is supposed to start today has only 33 posts so he probably doesn't know about it, plus I assumed we all wanted to forget yesterday's game so this afternoon we have... This Old Cub: http://www.dr4b.org/pictures/Baseball/Cards/moyer.JPG vs. http://www.theheckler.com/blog/uploaded_images/P7220424-749906.jpg (The dude on the left) Go Cubs! Let's win another series...
Overall thoughts on the game today: -Another one of those "LOB" on games, only without the big inning (The 8th was supposed to be) -The home plate umpire was a joke. The first pitch in the Reed AB almost hit the dirt.. the combination of his wide zone and Myers' effectiveness killed us -Ronny Cedeno should never be used as a pinch hitter... ever -Dick Stockton has totally lost it (if he ever had it) - although to be fair, the pitch that hit Victorino was probably gonna be called strike 3 -J.C. Romero is a DBag -I think DLee is on the verge of a hot streak -Aramis Ramirez is the clutchest player I have ever seen this side of David Ortiz.
Another game lost We can't gain em, just hold em sometimes, but we sure can lose em It's not gonna be easy to win this division, the Brewers won't stop winning anytime soon. It's really annoying
Reed Johnson doesn't seem to have a problem with it. Neither does Zambrano. There are plenty of people who do well in limited at bats. Cedeno is terrible. I'm one of the most optimistic people out there, but I expect failure from him every time he bats. He's just a worthless player. I wish Lou could ask him to go up there and take every pitch; he might have a better shot at reaching, sadly...

Anyone know what channel Sunday's game is on? Its obviously not Comcast because Len said the next CSN telecast is Weds, but WGN doesn't have it listed either and it can't be the Sunday night game cause it's at 1:20 CT... TBS maybe? Cubs.com has a big old blank
