  1. he's despondant, as bad as the Cubs are he couldn't hit our pitching, he sees a bleak future
  2. Scott my friend, you really beat me to post like this, I was going to say something like this, I believe Pierre will figure out his ground ball outs to second base and just get over the infield, steal second and we are off. Ceden will stop swinging at balls out of the strike zone and bunt Pierre to third and Walker will drive him home. the rest of the team will follow suit except for Jones who is useless. GO CUBS
  3. on Mike and Mike in the morning on espn they had Buster Olney who said that hendry was just waiting for the Cubs to turn around the season and he was going to extend BakerThe only to get rid of this person is stay away from the ball park, force hendry to make a decision.
  4. HE..NO I WON'T WATCH SOX GAMES, AS MUCH AS I CRY ABOUT HOW WE SUCK, SOX GAMES WILL NOT BE ON MY TV
  5. But fast figuring, the cubs had 6 innings they saw 10 pitches or less, and the last 4 they saw 8, 7, 8, 3. that is called giving up. Pierre saw 8 going 0-4 cedeno saw 11 going 0-4 walker saw 8 going 1-4 ramirez saw 7 going 0-3 jones saw 4 going 0-3 barrett saw 18 giong 1-3 murton saw 12 going 0-3 perez saw 8 foing 0-2 with on int BB hill saw 8 going 0-2 and mabry saw 5 going 0-1 total potches saw by the cubs for the game was 89 total, the padres saw 174 with giles walking 5 times, just some figures that I hope gets Baker fired monday
  6. What was that, Jock strap with his third first pitch swing and his third ground out, and the Cubs third or fourth less than 10 pitch inning
  7. the only to get rid of Baker is for the FANS to stop coming to the ball games
  8. I might have made a error, the whole team is not concetrating, really playing bad, I just watched two wild pitches score 2 runs.
  9. Today's game. it looks as though Rich Hill isn't concitrating(can't spell) on his pitches, he seems to through when he misses on a pitch in a certain spot he will miss once or twice more in the same spot or doesn't follow through on his curve whick causes it to end up high or wide to a right handed hitter.[/b]
  10. actually Maddox isn't that tradable, remember he is 40+, and he talks to and helps our pitching staff just thinking about pitching, He would make a good coach. I think Wood comes back strong, he knows how to pitch and having just about everything wrong with him at one time or another he now knows how to keep healthy. Prior I'am not sure about, he seems to have a lot of small problems that seem to go on for a long time, still has the ability to be a NO #1 if healthy. Z will always be dicy, walk alot of batters, strike out more and eat up innings, Great for a ball team. Guzman probably has the best stuff of any of the Cub pitchers, Just needs many innings to refine his stuff, remember he has has arm troubles which has cut down on meaningful innings. Hill, has great stuff, but I don't think he is consistant enough and probably will never be, Marshall, will be good but not great as a starter, Will be a 12-10 or 10-12 year after year, The kind of lefty that beats the cubs for another team. I think you keep Wood Z Maddox Guzman Marshall You trade Prior for a big Banger in the outfield, trade Jones to someone that has just had a outfield injury, for a minor league AA starting pitcher that has potential as a Major leaguer and Hill is to be traded to a pitching starved team for their best minor league player, reguardless of position. And the fall back plan is Miller in June to the starting staff
  11. I agree, for the right deal anyone on the Cubs can be had but please don't give anyone away just to make a deal, Just get rid of Pierre and Jones
  12. Yes cubdad you are a cub fan, stand proud, but the team is bad and playing worse, Bench Pierre for a week and let him think about how to get the ball past the second baseman. Cedeno has been good, Murton mostly good, and that is it, I can't stand Jones, He really looks as though he is trying to hit the ball out of the park every at bat, and that is not professional, he is swinging so hard that he almost falls down. I predict we will win tonight
  13. ANOTHER NAIL, DUSTY, WHEN YOU LEAVE TAKE PIERRE WITH YOU
  14. Both leagues are full of experienced coaches that could be looked over as managers, Just like the marlins picked Garaidi(spelling), also the minor leagues. Time for Hendry to use his baseball smarts and find a young manager that can spark this team. Other teams win with players like the Cubs have, we should not go this many years without a world series, The sweetr livable Cubs are gone now. TIME TO WIN or change, first the manager and coaches, and then if need to the players, I will be a Cub faan forever, but I would like to see us in the world series before I die and I am 66 years old
  15. What does Pierre really give us, Think about it, What
  16. Time to get rid of Dusty, and all of the coaches, Get a new younger skipper, and new blood on the coaching team. I have just gottin tired of lazy, non thinking players, getting picked off base and excusing that as hustle playing. Rainbows over the cut-off man allowing runners to advance, etc. We need to fix this team Mr. Hendry.. NOW
  17. I say move him to the bench. Hitting under 240, doesn't walk, Can;t steal first, His usual line is 0-4 and 1-5, with most f his outs, ground balls to second, has no arm in the outfield. BAD..BAD
  18. Also it will be good to getr woody back, we can use his bat in the line-up
  19. We need to plan our offense better, with a runner on base, With Pierre at base start the runners and plan on a ground ball to second because that is all we can expect from this Juan, a sorry state of affairs
  20. The only we can get better is dump wothless players one at a time, It is time to dump this one
  21. you are right, I should be banned, I should be put out of my misery, I should be forced to watch atlanta games and listen to skip, that would finish me
  22. I mean four,,,4,,,,,4,,,,four.....etc stoutouts in the last 6 games
  23. I have suffered since 1950 with the Cubs and every year I go into the new year with high hopes but this team is one of the most fragile I have ever seen, sorry to ruin your day
  24. Think about it, they are giving up at least one run and not batting in any, TYhe rest of the team is tired, swinging at every pitch they see, running down the first base line and then going back to the bench. \ This team sucks, the manager sucks, the general manager sucks, ushers suck, the beer sucks, ETC, ETC
