    Bravo!!I'd kill to watch minor league baseball everyday!! guess i don't count though cos i'm from a different continent. Anyway go Jaxx 2006 love the updates and team.

    You can also look at value like this.Walker was a FA so cost us nothing except $. We got williams for Hawkins. Would you trade Latroy for Lugo??. If Hendry believes in Guzman/Hill as much as we are led to believe he has to give them a shot at the starting 5.

    I see little point in debating the idea of walker as a starter. It doesn't matter how we see him , hendry and baker do not want him to start period. I do think a tandom of Lugo at ss and Cedeno at 2B will reduce Perez's playing time and put less pressure on ronnie to hit as he will bat 8th.

    If we do ship away williams with walker we better have a good idea that one of Hill/ Guzman can start from the get-Go and that Weaver can be had on a 1/$8mill kind of deal.

    Pedro, who would you consider a Vet? Rem? he spent most of his time on the DL and have dusty screw him up, Hawk? He was never a closer and became a broken man after dusty had finished. Merker? Guy was more upset with TV commentators than blowing leads on the field and supporting teammates. All i've read about Eyre and Howry leads me to believe they are quality guys. We now know that Ryan is as good a teammate as you get i see this unit fuctioning well nice mix.

    Totally disagree about the bullpen, how many leads have been blown late in games? we needed some veteran leadership in that pen. Guys like Ohman , Navoa and Weurtz were thrown to the wolves.

    Sorry i can't agree on your starting rotation. I would take Petit and possibly Oswalt over Prior Wood and Maddux. I like Z as much as any of them and i also like Prior but he needs to have a full season. Wood is a right off and i would take Sheets, Duke, Carpenter, Mulder over Maddux or Guzman. On an off note how much chance is thier on Hill or guzman making the majors this season?.

    Is anyone hearing anything more about this? I would really like a lugo trade . Not just for the obvious reason that it gets rid of neifi but i also like the sparplug combo of JP and Lugo at the top of the order.

    Ok Lets see......... Fired Baker the day the season ended, Hire Joe Giradi with Ryno as one of the coaches and then get our triple A pitching coach instead of the arm killer. FA's Giles wasn't going anywhere so i would of saved all trades for the outfield except Barret and prospect to SD for Loretta. I like Blanco with our pitchers and i won't be touching neifi so Henry is acceptable hitting at 8. I pay the bucks to get Furcal , whatever it takes. Saenez and Eyre, wouldn't bring back Rusch, offer Byrd, Weaver a reasonable but not long term contract. I would get my CF through trade i want either Micheals, Wilkerson or Bradley. I then offer Hill, Murton,Nolasco and Guzman/Pinto to Phil for Abreu Sign a platoon of Jones/Marrero to play LF. My bench would be made up of Sweeny, Fontenot, Hairston,Perez,Mabry. Furcal Loretta D Lee Abreu Aram Wilkerson/Bradley Jones/Marrero Blanco Prior ZAm Maddux Byrd/Weaver J Will Wood when back If any of the above fail look for a trade for a fifth starter during season. Dempster Eyre Saenez Weurtz Ohman Williamson I suppose you can always argue about whether the trades would of been accpted but what you can't argue about is that our team would be much better without having to take a videogame approach to trades.

    Not so sure about that Jeff, some GMs vastly over rate soriano and i'm pretty sure Miniya is one of them. What about if we took some of the Kaz Matsui cash on would they still say no?.

    If Bowden really is crazy enough to deal fonz for Patterson and even williams, there are alot of GMs who would overpay for soriano. How about swinging him to the Mets for Floyd and Hielman?.

    I know this sounds impossible but if Perez starts badly offesively i think Hendry will put the squeeze on baker to try something different.

    Jim , In your opinion what is the best Dunkin doughnut??. Does each one put you in a different mood? What mood were you in when you re-signed perez and got Jock? Whatever doughnuts you ate those days can you ask dunkin to ban the sale of them forever?, many thanks. Jim if you think i've gone mad now just wait until i've watched this team you've built play for 162 games, I'm just going to be Goo-Goo Gaa-Gaa!!!!

    I know many on here including myself have been critical of this off season but how are we going to compete?. Is Hendry going to trust Dusty with platoons in LF and RF?. Is it possible he will trade for an OF or SS? i just feel we have so many holes. I really like the bullpen moves and i would of liked the pierre move if another bopper and starting pitcher had been added. One thing that hasn't been talked of on here is JH and dustys obsession with trying to catch lightning in a bottle. We never go for a sure thing, instead we try and plug gaps and get one good year out of a vet. So what state are we in? what other moves can we expect?. Is there anyway we compete next year?.

    I'm hoping this is a scoop by this unrealiable site. Imagine how quick this lineup might get hendry and baker fired. pierre perez Lee Aram Wilson Jones blanco hairston obviously i'm being a little pissy cos i know that other lineups are available, but after the romours this week i'm prepeared to watch the cubs bomb and gleefully wave goodbye to hendry and dustbag. If MacPhail could be part of the leaving party that would be nice as well.

    Just got back from xmas with the folks, whats the latest on all this?? still just romours?? reading o's fans comments they want a kings ransom for tejada, they would like 2 superstar players, any info on latest situation would be gratefully received, happy xmas and new year!!.

    I would do this in a shot and i would deal hill if they wanted him. If you end up dealing Hill + Welly why not invest $$ in Millwood?. You then effectively get Huff ( IMO Aram in disguise just needs to get out of TB) and Millwood ( who we will need post '06) is that not value for a guy who COULD be a middle of the order starter?.

He doesn't care he doesn't seem to take notice of whats going on in baseball or with the other team in this city. We are stuck in mediocrity. It isn't all his fault (teams asking for too much in trades and a poor FA class) but he has done nothing to help d lee or aramis. If i was these 2 i would be bolting to a team next year that shows some ambition. I would have more respect for hendry if he named pie the starter in RF , Hill the number 5 starter and gave greenberg a roster spot. At least then you commit to the young players and send a message to younger players in the org that if you are good enough you will get a chance. If Atlanta can do this why cant we?? Why has he not just named cedeno the starting ss and murton in lf to show dustbag the direction this org is going in?.

    Listen carefully to the wind coming in off the lake.....yes thats me screaming all the way from england. This is total crap, i really dont want to have to trade the farm for tejada just because the sox are after him. I think we would be far better chasing abreu or drew who are both better fits. Its truly been an awful offseason and things aren't looking to get any better.
