Hi, any thoughts on good sites which include more than last years stats on pitching tendencies?. I'm looking for how starting pitchers pitch at different ballparks but for more than just last year. Example- what are Zambrano's career stats at Wrigley? Any help greatly appreciated. 8-)

anyone know what the payroll looks like if we had no wood or demp? Bearing in mind we may see the budget at $150 mill, where are we without those 2 but with Gregg, thanks in advance.

No we'll just spend it on a starter (peavy) who is a walking injury waiting to happen or a guy who has a career year on his contract year(coincidence? demp) and will prob turn in to jason marquis if he is re-signed.

I honestly don't think this is that bad of a deal apart from the money, why take on that salary when we're looking at Demp,Wood,Peavy. I can only think hendry has been told wood isn't coming back or SD asked for Gregg

I know everything is pointing to this guy being done but i just can't let go that in '07 he was unfortunate to not win 15 games in the big leagues. His periphs were all good and pointed to a bright future. As said before he is now at the point where he needs 5-6 good/acceptable starts before you can even see him competeing this spring.

Ying/Yang We could have the best starting rotation in baseball next year if Demp is re signed and Marquis traded. The bullpen could be even better than this year with Howry gone. The lineup can be improved with the addition of more speed(Pie?) and a much better showing from Dlee or a trade where we end up signing Tex if Lee is moved. Look at getting a legit RF. Our staff could be decimated by the end of April as Harden and Z both break down, demp struggles living up to his contract. Wood has walked out of frustration and marmol is closing and doing horribly. The pathetic postseason offense continues with Kouske even worse than this year and Dlee now joined in a horrible decline by Soriano. Ownership is all about money cuts the payroll we have a horrible season with many AAAA players getting a chance and Lou leaves before he kills everyone on the team. Ah bring on 2009!! -
And so as another season ends the ugly question rears it's head again of will i spend the $4000 it roughly costs me for a couple of weeks in chicago or should i just give up like my team does once it gets to the crunch....decisions,decisions

My friend who lived in Chicago and moved to England 2 months ago and claims to be a huge Cubs fan, is sleeping so you should too. Sleep?? i forgot that when this whole ride started after Kouskes heroics in game 1, i truely believed this year. No bullhowry i fell love with this team and they've taken me for everything........

This X10 forget curses and all that utter crap, we have been utterly pathetic in 2 postseasons running and some have boardered on being pathetic at many times this year.........glances at Mr Lee and Soriano.

I have absolutely nothing positive to bring to the table except at this time of my deepest misery so far and it now being 4 32am i'd rather be on here with my own people than listen to Stockton and the rest of his twits dissect this miserable peformance.

I know it's stating the obvious but i love our chances if we can win game 1. I don't see how we do not progress if we beat Lowe and follow that with Z,Harden. Having said that there are 2 things i don't think i can handle losing in a sweep and a game 5!!! Go cubs finish them!!!!

I know we have no divine right to win this thing and i promised myself i wouldn't allow myself to get too emotional but if we don't at least get to the NLCS i may be broken forever. Carlos making me feel better 'forget last year let's go out and do it!'. I'm having a week off to gather myself it's going to be a long long long october!!!

Apparently MLB is willing to oblige them. Exactly, funny how a team like the '04 Marlins were just shipped off to a neutral venue yet houston becomes a special situation. -

Whichever way you look at it and the teams spin it both teams are out to gain an advantage. Obviously the cubs would love to play at a different venue as they would outnumber 'stros fans by about 10,000-1. I don't think this would of bothered the Astros until they thought about the division race and what if it was all warapped up and we sent the scrubs for a 3 game series. Despite Mclean saying all the right things he is doing what is best for his playoff chances not the people in the city. Why not play the games in st louis and offer a load of stros fans the chance to go watch the game?? oh that's right money and wouldn't give them any kind of competitive advantage, sham.......Selig grow a pair?? -
