    LOB was a bit of a worry in the brewer series but then we kept getting the 2 out hit. Guess it's one of those days we might get one more chance. If not it's been a pretty good 2 days for you jake!!

    In most of our wins this year we've had a nice big inning especially the last week, that's all we need now, not time to jump ship just yet!!

    Fair enough it's the first time we've seen him but why do we always make new pitchers look so good by swinging at utter crap? it has been an annoying cub habbit for quite a while. If i ever get my lazy 30yr old ass to the majors i want to debut against the cubs!!

    Normaly by now i would be going nuts and throwing things at marquis on my tv, however it was almost inevitable he was going to bring us down. May have to settle for 2 out of 3 this weekend. Marshall PLZ

    The thing that seperates the pitchers like harden from the rest is fighting fires and putting them out. He gave up the home run and double then pitched the next 2 batters as if nothing had occurred in the inning. If that happens to someone like marquis you are 4 runs down before you can get a BP arm ready.....

    My only real BIG concearn about this team is the streakiness of Lee & Ramirez. Sure soriano comes and goes but when Dee and Aram are off they are horrible in the 3 and 4 spots. Not huge now but in a 5 game playoff series........

    Well that will make this weekend more pleasurable. Jimmy ballgame you are out of my doghouse and i've now allowed you to sit on the garden furniture, that doesn't mean your coming in for cakes and tea though, you'll have to continue to win me over for the next 2 months!!

    Just read that the Marlins and Bosox could dump the pirates out of the Manny deal because of the demands for Bay. Any way we could get involved and end up with hermedia? On the upside he couldn't hit any HRs against us in the series later next month!!

    I would say you have to be looking for bench help and a player that knows his role. It could seriously mess with the chemistry if Dejesus comes in and Edmonds/Reed are ready to go but have no place to play. Everyone seems real comfortable in the clubhouse right about now. If i'm looking for anything it's a bullpen arm so that i can get rid of howry/eyre, the latter because lou refuses to use him.

    Have no idea where he fits in with Thome,Dye and Quentin occupying the positions he could play. That team is becoming very un-athletic!!

    got to sort out this situation with eyre. Hendry needs to ask what in the blue hell is going on otherwise we are 1 man down constantly. Sort it out lou and jim.

    YES YES YES YES 4 30 am the cubs win, that's a biggy!! Man my neighbours are going to be pissed in the morning, i'll just tell them the cubs are 2 games up on the brewers they'll understand!!!

    Damn annoying that we've played pretty well again and a stupid send by quade and a [expletive] howry will prob cost us the game.

    As others said only 1 person to blame there and that's lou, if he isn't happy with using any of the LHP available tell hendry to get him one he likes instead of throwing the gas howry on the fire.....

    as frustrating as that inning was we are in the game late on a day when they threw thier ace. I like our chances if we get rid of cc next inning

    Classic!! On a serious note, i've not had this much fun watching the cubs in a long,long time. It was my buddies bday today we got him a santo cooperstown authentic, it's fate in '08 baby!!
