  1. Made fun of his mustache.
  2. Details? Lou brought a winning attitude that was sorely lacking before he got here.
  3. And Dusty Baker.
  4. I remember having a drunken meltdown on the ESPN message board, telling everyone we are going to choke this away.
  5. http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/baseball/cubs/chi-080929-kosuke-fukudome-chicago-cubs,0,6473359.story Just read this also. Good to hear...
  6. uhhh, let's take it easy here Seriously man...Get both hands back on the keyboard.
  7. I'll probably bite. I went last year and it was ok. I went last year and it was really lame.
  8. Those bets are always so lame. It's a photo op for Mayors...
  9. I don't know how a Cubs fan can be 100% confident about anything positive happening, particularly in a crapshoot like the playoffs. If you aren't a little bit nervous, you're either some sort of wonderful mechanical man or you're nuts. Little of both... You just have to figure it's has to happen sometime, might as well be with this team. I'm just feeling it this year...
  10. First time in my lifetime that I'm not satisfied with just "Being there" in the playoffs. I'm 100% confident this team gets to the WS.
  11. Lets be honest, none of these playoffs team should pose a challenge. Anything less then a WS bid would be a major disappointment.
  12. Same here...But the season never really ends. The off-season is always interesting...
  13. Brewers or the Mets are both first round knockouts. No way either of these teams get past the first round...
  14. Sox are down 4-1 in the 5th. Man, tomorrow going to be fun for the playoff races.
  15. Except the fact that this locks up a Dodgers/Cubs playoff matchup which sucks. It's not a lock yet. Mets won today.
  16. I don't know why but this pisses me off.
  17. It's the "you never know" factor that worries me somewhat. It's almost invariable that a team you don't snuff out when you have the chance will come back and trouble you somehow. See also: 2004 Astros. Yeah I can agree with that. If all the pitchers pitch to their potential I don't think any team can compare to the Brewers rotation. Three pitchers who could easily post seasons of sub 3.00 ERA. I doubt they pitch like that though since they all have their issues. you can say the same for Harden, Z, and Dempster. Harden and Z, yes. Demp... maybe. I'm still not convinced that this is anything more than a career year for him and he won't regress next year. It's not next year yet. Next year you don't have to worry about CC or Sheets...

  19. huh? Why are we rooting against milwaukee in the DS anyway? I know it's a long shot, but a healthy trio of Sabathia/Sheets/Gallardo is still very scary Healthy being the key word there.
  20. Tweaked his hand on a swing. Told Lou he wanted to stay in, Lou said no. Just rest him until Wednesday...
  21. What the hell...Just rest Soto until the playoffs.
