Why wouldnt your parents let you play baseball? Too busy I guess. I don't really know. I don't mean it to sound like it was a big deal to me growing up. I just remember being like 8 and wanting to play and getting shot down. I would've sucked anyway. Was always the small kid and my hand eye coordination sucked. They saved me from embarrassment. Well at least they knew your limitations in life.

Never liked it. I tried it a few times in high school and it just made me massively paranoid. Just doesn't do it for me. Speaking of horror have you seen The Divide? It's on vod and it looks really good. Directed by Xavier Gens who made Frontier(s) which I loved. Looks intense. If its on demand I'll have to catch it because Frontier(s) was a good watch. DID see Insidious and it lived up to the hype. Didnt even smoke any pot before watching it. I liked Insidious also. Hard to believe it came from the director who made Saw. No pot smoking references. Just trying to keep the thread semi not hijacked.

Yea. It's definitely an "issue" now, whether or not it was already. The kicker for me is that the Angels are already 7.5 games back of the Rangers. It's not like the Angels are tearing up the league and can afford to wait around for Pujols to figure things out. Games in April and May count, too. It's may. -

What does he have a crappy agent or something? Doesn't make any sense that the others got cleared so quickly and he still on hold? The holdup is with the U.S. government, not something to do with his agent. God damn you Obama!!!!!!!! -

No. At least not for another 5-7 years. The last 2-3 years perhaps. It's a huge contract, different league, he left the only team he's played in his whole career. Give the man time to adjust. He's human and the one guy you don't worry about is Pujols. -

Yeah, lets cut the crap on the medical benefits of dope. It's about as dumb as saying red wine is good for your heart. It gets you high and that's the main reason people use it for.

Point taken and it does make sense. I guess it's the parent in me that scares the crap out of me to have booze and pot legal at the same time. I never liked pot and I don't drink, so it doesn't effect me in the slightest.

I have to deal with too many of these people. Marijuana has some limited medial benefits, but of course has its share of negative health effects. It certainly isn't a harmless wonder drug that has been totally demonized. Having said that, it should be legalized, regulated and taxed. If alcohol is legal, there's absolutely no reason weed shouldn't be. Of course I think the entire "war on drugs" is a massive, egregious waste of resources and profoundly negative social force, but criminalizing pot is particularly dumb. And for the record I haven't smoked up in years and wouldn't even if it were legal. See I don't get that argument. All because one drug is legal, lets make another one legal. Why give more options to get wasted?
