    well dempster is up soon... i imagine if ward and floyd are going to be out for even this weekend's series, there will have to be more moves, because you can't play that shorthanded Isn't Dempster coming up Saturday?

    What does our offensive production have anything to do with QS's? The only reason Z came out after 5 IP was because of the 9-0 score. A pitcher has to go 6 innings with 3 or fewer runs to get a quality start. I guess next time Lou should tell his players to stop scoring so that Z can chase a meaningless statistic. cubs offense is so selfish JESUS, I was just pointing out a fact No, you weren't. A quality start has to do with the number of runs a pitcher allows, not the number of runs his own team scores. I think he meant that if we didn't have a huge lead, Z would've stayed in the game.

    Winning does wonders to demeanor... No matter how one feels about JJ, I agree it is good to see him playing like a kid & enjoying the game. He isn't a bad guy, I think, so I hope he continues playing w/ some joy. maybe we'll get lucky in the process & he'll start producing on a semi-regular basis... It also does wonders to delusional fans. :wink:

    Not joking, but I was curious because I was distracted and completely missed seeing that part of the game. I agree, it would have been bizarre for it to happen like that. Then again, the way this game has been going so far .... It would be absurd if Lou took out Zambrano for not hustling to 1st with a 9 run lead and 200% humidity.
