  1. I tihnk Grace was pissy when Ryno quit.
  2. Nothing says overhauling an organization like embracing the losers of the past. Nailed it!
  3. That's good and all, but I'm pretty sure he he's not strapping on the uni anytime soon.
  4. Larry Bowa as bench coach would be amazing. What is Mark Grace going to do make sure the beer is tapped? Hire Matt Stairs as hitting coach (though he is still playing as of 2011) and then we really have a party. dave martinez as bench coach just to see sandberg go nutz.
  5. Does anybody love their manager, winning or not? Don Zimmer says hello. I can testify that the Ranger fans love Ron Washington, despite the fact that he makes some really dumbfounding in game decisions. Besides, he likes to party. I don't think there's a person out there that doesn't pull for Washington. He's like a lovable teddy bear.
  6. I'm on board. Why not? It's not like there's a first class manager out there. Maybe TF, but what's he going to cost 4-5 a year? I'd rather spend on players.
  7. What? Is this a joke? If true that's pretty amazing that Kenney was trying to sabotage the whole deal from the inside. It's not true. Do you really think Rickett's would let him sabotage negotiations? Bullocks!

  9. In this age of evil rich people it's refreshing to have one on the side of justice and good. He's like the baseball Batman. Yeah, he's seems like the ideal owner doesn't he? How he handled all of this was first class. Kept everything close to his chest. He's like a Bobby Fischer of the baseball world. I'm not sure if we are all impressed because we've never had anything close to this or he's just that good. Although, the Blackhawk owner (can't think of this name) is pretty damn close.
  10. You are right and I apologize. I don't remember those times, but sir I trust that you did. Bury the hatchet?
  11. Boobies? But that was pretty cool of him for admitting he overratacting and made a mistake. I know this is foreign to you, but it is what it is.
  12. It takes a real man to admit it. Congrats and other posters take note. Classy move Erik.
  13. What? Is this a joke?
  14. Thank you Nuts. Let him bask in the little moments of glory he actually has in life. Well done tree. Well done. Kyle wishes he can reach those moments in life you were born to do. tree couldn't afford photoshop, maybe you could paypal him some $$$ or at the very least buy him an imac I'm in IT I don't pay for computers and software silly man. But I will send him paypal $$$ to support his art/gift. Yes, I'm that giving of a person.

  16. Having Fielder for 3-4 years and then having him opt out of the last 3-4 years would be about the best-case scenario. Having Fielder/Pujols/Sabathia/Wilson for 3-4 years and then opt out of the rest of the contract would be the best-case scenario. So would the Cubs getting Theo Epstein and well all know not a chance in hell! 23%
  17. Tim, Tom and Theo in the same room - are you sure the world is ready for that? My weiner is.
  18. ok ssr I'm still pissed nobody reacted to my line about Theo ejaculating on me. Eh. Too predictable. You should've gone with the urination on you.
  19. Hawk4Hall was constantly going on about Ricketts. JeffH, too. J.R. was on about the safari and the Toyota sign quite a bit, iirc. You've been waiting for this call out for a while haven't you?
  20. Tssss da feet is yours? Sounds like loser talk to me. Tssssss. Back off bro.
  21. yeah, everyone who bitched about going on a safari or wrang their hands about possibly hiring chuck lamar or ned colletti or worried that the cubs would be going back to an $80-90m payroll should feel like a fool. ricketts absolutely gets it. there's a reason that he's enamored with the red sox - 10 years ago they had gone forever without winning a world series, had a huge market and fan base, an iconic but aging ballpark, and a history of incompetent management and personnel decisions. the red sox were always a big market team but weren't the cash cow they are today until they started experiencing regular success. ricketts knows that the way to build the cubs is to build from within, improving the procurement of amateur talent and filling the holes with trades and free agent signings. putting some work into wrigley will improve it aesthetically and allow the cubs to create new revenue streams. time for the sleeping giant to wake up. In other words he has common sense.
  22. The feet are all mine!
  23. ok ssr Don't get him started on his Penis again. It's like his Batman signal.
