    What could Craig have possibly said to warrant getting ejected there? It’s going to be near impossible for our offense to outscore the Braves with Shota likely done after 5 - unless Wesneski is going 4 innings.

    Yep. Cuas deserves another chance. He was overall decent/good last year, just clearly lost the feel for the sweeper. If he can keep that walk rate around a reasonable 10%, he has value. Though I have been asking for Porter to get the call for awhile now.

    Also only threw 38 pitches, so could likely throw a couple innings Sunday. Or even a few more than that on Monday if Shota is needed to start Sunday.

    Probably true. But nobody would have second guessed CC going to Yency to start the inning or after the Arraez infield single. Shota didn’t make bad pitches so I wouldn’t even say it was a *bad* decision, just seemed like a strange move.

    There’s a difference between pulling a starter at 80 pitches in the 6th to go to a depleted pen vs letting a guy go 100+ for the first time in the 8th with all your “best” relievers available.

    The pitches weren’t bad, but I really didn’t like Shota going back out there for the 8th. Oh well

    The bullpen issues go far beyond just walking too many guys. I’ll take my chances. Especially with how Craig likes to bring in relievers mid-inning.

    I have faith Busch will be good enough at 1b with more experience, but if PCA can hit enough (not sure if he can), Cody should be the everyday 1B when he returns with Busch at DH.

    Don’t like the number of pitches Javy has had to throw already. Who’s the long man today?

    Not sure if Jamo faces Nimmo either way, but agree. Hopefully Busch improves with more reps. If PCA can hit enough and Morel can glove enough, Busch should be the DH when Cody returns.
