I'm surprised she married you after this. I haven't seen the movie. I couldn't even sit through that whole clip I posted. The team was flipping channels in the clubhouse one day and came upon the movie. They adopted the Z hand size from that. They all thought the movie was horrible. Now the fans are doing it too. Knug Foo Panda flashed it to Cutch at the all star game.
Hansen was pulled from game today for lack of hustle, hence why his name came up. We gave up a good bit for Wandy, but we're also getting cash. Cain is no loss. Ownes will be a solid starter (Probably a #3), and Grossman is potential star. But, when I think of all of the potential stars we acquired over the past couple of years, I'm not going to lose sleep over losing Grossman.
We play the Braves in the last series again. If the season ended today, the Braves would come to Pittsburgh for that one game playoff. This is all about me.
Sanchez is the guy we wanted when we traded Freddy Sanchez a few years ago. He had some good years in SF. You guys should take a risk and claim him. You're not going anywhere, little risk (other than couple of $$ on the contract.)
Apples and oranges. Appel is a much more mature pitcher. The point is the same, as neither has done anything in the professional ranks. Prospects fail, and pitching prospects fail so often that TINSTAAPP is a thing. Plugging 3 guys into the top a future rotation when none of them have pitched above AA is asking to be disappointed. Getting 1 guy to pan out and another to be a back of the rotation type would be beating the odds. I see where you're coming from. A better analogy would have been Zach Von Rosenberg, vs. Allie, as Allie was not your usual crap shoot. ZVR was a prep star with a strong commitment we took in the 6th round and gave a $1m bonus. (We did this with a handful of pitchers that year. Most are fizzling out.)
