I don't think that would've worked. Players want to play in an established league and on the biggest stage. Of course, everyone has their price. I just think the price would have been very high. It worked for the USFL. They got Herschel Walker, Sam Mills, Jim Kelly, Anthony Carter. I know it worked before, but this is a different era. The NFL is the worlds biggest stage for football. Like I said earlier though, everyone has their price. So it is possible that the XFL could've lured a few big names to play for them, but I still don't think it would've been enough to sustain the league. Also the timing of the season was horrible. It was at the end of the regular football season, and most people were burnt-out on football.
