    Yep, I was in 3 leagues last year and had times like that. I got 2nd in 2 of the leagues, and all my players got hurt in the other league and I finished 9th.

    I like that too, the AA Round Rock Express of the Astros used to be the Jackson Generals. So the "Generals" I guess is open now. Yes, I remember the Jackson Generals. I used to go watch them get beat by the Shreveport Captains.

    I don't think that would've worked. Players want to play in an established league and on the biggest stage. Of course, everyone has their price. I just think the price would have been very high. It worked for the USFL. They got Herschel Walker, Sam Mills, Jim Kelly, Anthony Carter. I know it worked before, but this is a different era. The NFL is the worlds biggest stage for football. Like I said earlier though, everyone has their price. So it is possible that the XFL could've lured a few big names to play for them, but I still don't think it would've been enough to sustain the league. Also the timing of the season was horrible. It was at the end of the regular football season, and most people were burnt-out on football.

    Is this some sort of contest to see who can show up to camp in worse shape? Dempster looks a little plump too. Dempster looks like he always looks. Most baseball players don't have a sixpack.

    I'm going for Seattle now. I didn't really care, but it seems everyone is against Seattle so I'll go for them. I think the refs want Pitt. to win too.
