  1. Why do you want them to win? Their chances of making the playoffs are just a little better than 1 in 400 at this point. Cubs management says it's too early to throw in the towel when they should be thinking about how to make this team better next year and the near future. This season is already a lost cause. It's not pessimism. It's realism. Check the simulations: http://www.baseballprospectus.com/statistics/ps_odds.php http://www.coolstandings.com/baseball_standings.asp?i=1 http://www.baseballprospectus.com/statistics/ps_oddspec.php Personally, I am rooting for them to lose right now, and I'm not ashamed to say it. We will not win as long as the current management stays in place. If the Cubs start winning some games now, they might finish in fourth or fifth place. If that's good enough for you, then I'm glad you're not the GM. Well then your not a cub fan if you are "rooting" for them to lose. That does not make any sense. Yeah its a tuff time to watch them play, but that being said I will NEVER root for them to lose. I went to 40 games last year. How many did you go to? Don't tell me I'm not a Cubs fan. I'm not trying to argue with you, but going to more games doesn't make you a bigger fan than someone else. I'm sure you are a big Cubs fan, or you wouldn't be on here. You have to realize that some people are more fortunate than others, and actually have a chance to attend 40 games in a season. Others don't live in Chicago or near another major league city, and therefore can't attend many games.
  2. What'd he say ? I'm listening to Pat & Ron. also said Dusty has a history of guys continuing to play hard for him, and he's sure that's what they'll keep doing.
  3. Bentiment. Game day spells it Betemit. You surely don't me to comment on your spelling, eh? Fred=correct

  6. I was joking when I asked. I definately accepted, but I'm expecting it to be vetoed.
  7. A guy offered me Vlad/Helton for Bonds/Clemens. I picked up Clemens from waivers b/c a dude cut him after the season started. Vlad is killing Bonds in all categories. Should I accept it?
  8. Especially since Dusty doesn't keep track of pitch counts. Pitch counts? That's jibber-jabber fool.
  9. Racist. haven't heard that one before.

  17. It appears everyone is tired of losing and now afraid to make gamethreads. I will end the streak tonight, and Tobias can take it from there. http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c124/bnance82/121834.jpg 2-2 3.77 http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c124/bnance82/448179.jpg 0-1 11.25 http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c124/bnance82/bucket.jpg Q: What's the difference between this and the Cubs? A: The bucket.
