  1. I bet he'd sit behind homeplate with a shirt that says CFFL and yell at the umps all the time.
  2. IS this game on t.v.?
  3. 34-21 USC. And I agree. Meeeeeee tooooo. I hate the 2004 champs. I hope they don't win back to back.
  4. The real question is "can Ozuna catch the ball?"
  5. That is the Alex Gonzalez on the Marlins. Not the one we had before.
  6. He's old and homosexual. I don't think that comment was necessary or factual. There's no need to bring up someone's sexuality. Sorry if it was inapporpriate, but i'm pretty sure he's admitted he is. And if he were, does that somehow make him less of an athlete? The comment was uncalled for. O.K. I've already apologized. Let it die. And yes, it would probably have some effect on the clubhouse.

  8. what? you're not changing arm speed or delivery from your fastball if you're doing it right. it's the resistance the ball sees that slows the ball down, not arm speed. the forces on the arm should be the same. 12 year olds learn this pitch. it should be the second pitch you learn (after the fastball). How many pitchers in MLB have a really effective changeup? It is an easy pitch to learn to throw. It is hard to learn to be deceptive enough with it to be effective. effective? more than a few. it's not supposed to be a strike out pitch. you throw changeups on counts where the hitter is looking for a fastball (3-1, 2-1, 2-0, 1-0). it's there to keep hitters honest on the fastball. plenty of pitchers (just about all quality starters) have "average" changeups and that's all you need. my guess is hill knows how to throw the changeup. how can you get to that level and not? it's either not very good or he doesn't believe in using it for whatever reason. His fastball/curveball repertoire has certainly been good enough to dominate (his K/9 has always been ridiculous), so why would he use the changeup? it's his command of the curveball that's hampered his progress, not the lack of another pitch. we need to do a Q&A with Rich Hill. I gots me some questions. Johan Santana
  9. He's old and homosexual.
  10. They are sort of direct opposites of each other. Wilkerson has power, not a lot of speed, has difficultly making contact, limited defensive range in CF but a really good arm. Pierre has no power, a lot of speed, rarely strikes out, has great range in CF but has no arm. They both bat lefty and have pretty good career OBP, but other than that, they are completely different, but both fill needs that the Cubs have. I'm sort of torn between the two at the moment, but you seem clearly against Wilkerson. Help me out. Whatcha got? Pierre will be able to better handle the heat since he is darker. This will allow him to fatigue less from all of the day games at Wrigley.
  11. I was going to play in a golf tourny this weekend in Shreveport, but I had to work. Turns out Todd Walker and B.J. Ryan are in it.
  12. Hideki Matsui
  13. How can you take away from what LSU did though. They didn't choose what team they were going to play in the championship. The real joke is how easy USC's conference was compared to the SEC and Big 12.
  14. Isn't that what happened two years ago? It's exactly what happened two years ago. Thanks to SC not losing since 2003, no one even remembers that technically LSU won that year's national title. They didn't win technically. They got the effin trophy. What does USC have to show they won it? I still don't understand why Auburn didn't get a split last year. It was the exact same scenario as '03. I hate USC.
  15. Uuuuummmmmmm.........Barry Bonds-enough said
  16. I met Todd Walker and AGonz last year in Houston. Me and my friend were in the SONY store in the Houston Galleria when they walked in. I went up to him and asked if he was Todd Walker, and talked to him for a few minutes. He seemed to be a really nice guy.
  17. Wow. I don't see how Pujols can't be liked. Even as a Cubs fan I have to admit he's one of my favorite players. He is everything you could want from a player and a person. Seeing the story ESPN ran on him a while back about him and the down syndrome kids sealed the deal for me.
  18. I hate the Astros, Cardinals, and Sox. Since my dad is a Cards fan I'm rooting for them. The Sox are my backup if the Astros make it.
  19. No offense, Sir Knight-life, but that's a "homer" response. Go with the Phins. Cadillac Williams is hurt and may not play, leaving Brian Greise, Michael Pittman and Joey Galloway. Carnell Williams will play, and the Bucs will win. Please don't hurt Holt. He is really helping my fantasy team.
  20. Hasselback or Bulger??
  21. Could the Cubs send him to the minor leagues to work on his managing skills, and would he have to accept the assignment? They could do this since they are going to be paying him next year anyways, and they could hire someone else to replace him. I know sometimes players have the right to reject a minor league assingment. Would a manager have the same type of option?
  22. You know Dusty wouldn't bat 3 rh batters in a row. "You have to mix it up dude. It's all about mathups b/c that makes me look like I know what I'm doing."
  23. I am Dusty Baker's Toothpick!!! Well, I'm really not his toothpick, but that is my name for this.
  24. Yes they will, but the question is how many games it will take them to.
