    Right behing the Cubs with the 13th worst BA w/RISP are the Phillies who lead the league in runs scored, and oh yeah, have a 25 point higher OBP.

    The Indians have scored 81 more runs than they've allowed (776/695). They "should" be a better team. When adjusted for strength of schedule and predicted runs, they would be the wild card leader in the AL. They are currently more than 11 wins worse than their play would suggest they would be. The disappointment may have more to do with luck than performance. It's a problem I wish the Cubs had.

    Link "[Lee] wasn't available," Baker said. "His hand is sore. He should be OK [on Monday], but he was in the trainer's room and said he needed a [day off] bad. So no matter what, we had to give it to him." Lee said after the game his hand was no more sore than usual. But he conceded he'd asked Baker for a real day off. "I needed a full day," Lee said. "I'd pinch-hit every other time I had an off-day. Originally, I was going to play two days and then have an off-day, which is fine, but it's never worked out that way." PLEASE STOP PLAYING THE FRANCHISE FOR A LOST CAUSE.

    What happened? Maddux threw a pitch to Nady and either motioned for the trainer or the trainer came out on his own. Either way, everyone examined him and he decided to stay in. There goes his trade value?
