    Correct. To add to this, we can actually change the roster during the middle of a playoff series. The catch is that it is designed for DL moves, so any player we replace during the middle of the series is ineligible for the rest of the postseason. It's not a rule that is likely to receive any significant use, but it can come into play occasionally. I want to say the Mets had to invoke that rule with El Duque two years ago.

    is anybody, really? i guess oneri fleita. I like the direction the system is heading in... seems to be a lot more high-risk, high-ceiling types. I don't mind boom-or-bust players... it's much cheaper to acquire role-players in free agency to fill in around our homegrown superstars than it is to acquire superstar caliber players to fill in around our homegrown role-players.

    I'm more surprised that we haven't managed to come up with a nickname for him... Geovany Soto is just too great of a name to top, though.

    He's actually hitting .277 for the season vs. them and has 4 of his 6 HRs against righties .277/.319/.401 vs. righties .328/.396/.455 vs. lefties

    Low 90's FB, Mid 70's CB Doesn't look to have much more body to build off of... Kinda looks like Gallagher to me... though I haven't seen his other secondary stuff.

    Clemens is much, much better than Mays was. 120 ERA+ vs. Clemens' 143 career ERA+. Then again...Mays did kill a guy with a beanball. Exactly. Mays is a 220 DBF+ guy (Douchebag Factor), Clemens is just a 140 DBF+ or so. That more than outweighs their relative success on the field.

    Those were funny times... all the pundits talking about how we were going to struggle the rest of the season on the road-heavy schedule.

    There was a meeting with an arbitrator on Sept. 10th... but from what I understand, there was too much material to be covered in one day, and they were going to work on getting another date scheduled... which could take weeks.

    Trade Lilly, DeRosa, and Wuertz to the Mets for Beltran, Moviel, and cash. Trade Marquis + the cash to cover 80% of his salary for whatever flawed prospect some team is willing to give us. Re-sign Demp and Wood. Exercise Harden's option. Let everybody else walk. C - Soto 1B - Lee 2B - Fontenot 3B - Ramirez SS - Theriot LF - Soriano CF - Beltran RF - Fukudome SP1 - Zambrano SP2 - Harden SP3 - Dempster SP4 - Marshall SP5 - Samardzija CL - Wood RP - Marmol RP - Guzman And the rest of the usual suspects in the pen and off the bench.
