Craig with a leadoff double in the 2nd, then scores on a Spearman bunt single + throwing error. 3-0 Smokies so far in the 2nd ... 4-0 Smokies as Spearman scores on a strange series of plays / non-plays that would take too long to explain.

    In the one game I saw Veal pitch (April 24), he couldn't throw a breaking pitch for a strike and hitters were sitting on his fastball. Sounds like it may have been similar when Vance saw him? Walks really killed him. I hope he turns it around; he did have a couple of decent starts in a row.
